Really...so what you got from my thread is that I was COMPARING Margarito and Cotto....WOW, talk about LACK OF COMPREHENSIONatsch.
To be fair, it could be interpreted as that. Saying 'Margo did his part' sort of suggests that Cotto would be letting the potential rematch-deal down if he lost, even though he has a far tougher fight. I know you probably don't mean it in those terms, but it could be interpreted in that manner.
Don't be surprised to see either Margarito/Pacquiao in there w/Foreman next should he win against Cotto. Arum To Cotto = What Golden Boy is to JMM. Lamb to the slaughter...
Ok...WOW. I can't believe I have to explain this.:-( Ok, here it goes...and I will type REAL SLOW!!!! Both fighters just came off pretty devastating losses right??? Ok...are you with me so far? So now with that being said, their fights (against recent opponents) would be considered "Come-back" fights? And they're are now fighting at a higher weight right? Now if Both fighters win...IT WOULD SET UP A POSSIBLE REMATCH....RIGHT??? The reason why I titled the thread: "Miguel Cotto...It's all up to you." Is because Margarito's easy win now puts him in a position to fight a top 10 fighter...Now imagine if Cotto loses...then obviously there would be NO interest in a possible Margarito vs Cotto Rematch....RIGHT???? How anyone assumed I was saying or comparing the fighters or comparing their opponents is just BEYOND RIDICULOUS AND JUVENILE. Oh well, everyone learns at a different pace.
Cotto knows damn well that he can't beat Margo, expect another beat down if a rematch happens. That tomato can is tougher and has more heart, chin then Cotto.
Agree for the most part except that last part. I think most people would agree both fighters might not be the same since their devastating losses, but yet they aren't shot fighters. Plus with the controversy surrounding their first fight, there would still be a high level of interest as to how Margarito would perform against Cotto the second time around. I think Cotto risking alot more in fighting Foreman than Margarito in fighting Garcia, that's pretty obvious, and many people are underestimating Foreman. Martinez like Foreman wasn't considered a hard puncher, yet Foreman stops Santos, an awkward southpaw veteran who was only stopped once before? Cotto is having his hands full and a loss to the quicker, taller, hungrier Foreman would not surprise me at all.
