Ive been saying this fight was ridiculous matchmaking for a world title since it was announced. Any neautral observer could see that a guy coming off a year out with a serious injury and a loss would psychologically be shot, damaged goods. Just like Bruno having that same injury going into the 2nd Tyson fght. Thats the reason th efight was made, Steward knew how the psycholgy of that injury would play a part and that his wasnt a risk at all.

McGirt said to Brewster after one round he wasnt going to let him get hit. That shows that the injury was a factor to them, all they worked on was keeping the shell defence and not bothering abut throwing anything. It was a retirement fund for Brewster, you could tell as he entered the ring he wasnt there for a fight.

For Wlad it will be a confidence builder, plus he boxed very well so he is ready to challenge the winner of chagaev Ibragamov next to reclaim the lineage off of his loss to Brewster which Ibragamov currently holds.

i've heard sanders call him out recently.

it does have a place in this discussion. because the first post mentioned that nobody can now complain about wlad not winning any of his rematches. :yep

time to grow some and get into negotiations about a sanders fight. :deal

Sanders is an active fighter, so maybe not so outrageous. I would pay to see it.

    Yea...:rofl

Sanders turned down Wladimir until he retired after getting beat by Vitali... now he wants some money so he wants to come back and fight Wladimir? Wlad just completely dominated an in shape, and motivated Brewster who was just considered one of the best heavyweights in the world up until last year.... and is getting no credit for it. So, what sort of credit does he get for beating the **** out of a Sanders who is over 40 years old?

it was the manner of that defeat that makes it relevant.

sanders is a puncher and we all know that's one thing ya don't lose.

a few of us on here are giving wlad credit.

it doesn't change the fact that the division is a wasteland at the moment and nobody cares a whole lot until these guys unify. :yep
