I don't think Ortiz is a threat but he's perceived to be a threat due to his last fight with Berto. He's a tough kid but should be easy for Floyd to win a UD. I think he gets hit way too much.

He may be a threat he may not be. He is a southpaw, big, stronger, power puncher and has some solid boxing skill.

But people are being hypocrites. They complained about Baldo and Hoya because even though they proved more they were called old. Now Mayweather is fighting a young guy with a lot to prove and people are complaining he has proven enough yet.

I was very critical of Ortiz after his loss to Maidana not as a Pac fan but as a southpaw. I wasn't impressed with his movement. He struck me as a southpaw that had been trained to fight like an orthedox fighter. There are a lot of them out there. As such Miadana landed his right at will. Not every trainer knows how to train southpaws, Roach and Nacho are more exceptions to the rule. I saw the same kind of poor movement out of Grandpa Garcia's other southpaw Luevano. Concepcion was running circles around him before the DQ. The move to Danny Garcia seems to have worked well for Ortiz. He actually looks and moves like a southpaw now.

Im actually given Floyd a lot of credit for this fight and I completely agree with you. We know who are the ones saying is not a legit fight and hating about it.
