What's the point of Pac beating a guy again after he beat the guy three times in the past?

it would be seen as that and an arguememnt would proabably be able to be made for that. if pacquiao retires without facing marquez a 4th time, even if he fights mayweather and somehow wins, there's still that 100 percent warranted, lingering doubt about marquez, the guy who has pushed him in every fight they've had, and someone he has never remotely beaten clearly, regardless what the scorecards say.

Everyone realizes Marquez is too good to get another crack at Pacquiao. An extra year older and an extra fight to boot and maybe the goods will be marinated.

    You're pretty much spot on.
Marquez' skills would have to have shown noticeable decline to the point that one might come the conclusion he has no business against an elite level fighter for Pacquiao to even consider wanting to take him on again.

If Marquez were to win a controversial fight in the next year or so where he looks absolutely terrible, you watch team Pacquiao start ranting they want Marquez to shut him up.

.....thats basically what team Pacquiao did to land the Mosley fight.:deal

You know, I actually get a sense that Bob Arum wants a fourth Marquez-Pacquiao fight. Aside from a Mayweather fight, its the most profitable, and Arum know he has the judges in his back pocket again for a fourth.
However, I can see where Pacquiao does'nt want to get embarrassed again.

I'd rather see Pac / Marquez 4 than any other match in all of boxing right now.

The idea that Pac is ducking Marquez is a total and complete joke. Before, Pac / Arum were getting crucified for pursuing a 4th Marquez fight, right here on this forum and to no end.

In my opinion though, Cotto is going over old and easily beaten territory and hasn't done enough to warrant a rematch, and Cotto should fight at 154 and Pac should stay at 47 or a catch below that. Peterson got a very dubious victory over Kahn at a lower weight. Bradley is interesting but didn't look so hot in his one fight at 47.

Alll those guys are C+ options. In my opinion Marquez / Pac 3 was fun as hell to watch and inconclusive. We need a 4th fight and the time is now nobody is getting younger, neither Pac or Marquez.

I think Pac / Marquez would be a HUGE fight so its BULL**** when people say nobody wants to see it. Vasquez and R Marquez managed 4 fights.

Pac / Marquez 4 would be massive. I'll go even further. The idea of having it in Mexico is a great idea. That way it puts the onus on Pac to either DOMINATE TOTALLY or KNOCK HIM OUT.

But to say Pac is avoiding Marquez is idiotic.

Only people that don't want to see this fight, if the Mayweather fight doesn't happen, are those who don't want another close fight for Pac.

teampac need another handpicked guy to try and rebuild credability! They thought JM was pas it and got fooled! they will avoid JMM and Floyd ! A loss to the hype job, would ruin manny's political aspirations, endorsements and big paydays ! The public is slowly starting to realize this, the guy is good! Great ? no !!
