i can't believe that he lost to that guy when i checked his boxrec record. basically, the guy was older but banal has more experience. and this guy, concepcion fought only in panama. it was supposed to be a scripted story by GBP. well anything can happen in boxing.

i believe so too..out of the all the ALA fighters, i had only high hopes for him and banal even before boom2x took a loss. both are still young though, gorres is 26 but he's a good boxer. I don't know what went wrong with the darchinyan fight as i expected him to school the armenian but hope he comes back different

exactly..its like banal is already being handed that title considering the record of the opponent at a championship level fight.

This is depressing my favorite prospect got TKO'd.

This July has been so horrible for me.

IMO its the style bro... Their fighters are having a hard time sustaining their energy specially against brawlers and pressure fighters that can rough them up. The same thing happened during the montiel fight, gorez toyed with him and then boom! he ran out of steam in the later rounds... They should know how to phase themselves, as you may have noticed most of the ALA fighters go out hands blazing during the early rounds.

yes i notice that..i don't know if they're running a lot or if they're having proper nutrition. It seems every fighter had the similar problem.

hell no, i picked the name boomboom for Ray Mancini.

I was never that big on Bautista but I liked the hype he was getting because it took the attention off of Banal who I thought was the real thing for 3 years now, but if he quit the way you all said he did than thats such a huge dissappointment.

Does anyone know if Banal was ahead before the stoppage?

I noticed that most of them bounced a lot and IMO it's a waste of energy... and that wide stance although might be very good for backing out it's hard to keep your balance especially during close encounters.

the guy was spent... he wasn't really hurt by that punch that coz the KD. He even looked at his corner and made a certain expression on his face as if saying he doesn't have the energy to continue fighting.

Nothing to be ashamed of about AJ Banal... He's still very young and lots of time to bounce back... He can take it as a tough learning experience.

Banal just need to put more stamina, he started good early and caught Conception a lot. But he didn't step on the gas for the KO punch. Conception was already running in the mid rounds trying to stay out because he got caught big time.
Well Conception did fight cleverly(cept for the tons of heabutts, hitting so much on a clinch even when the ref said to stop and a low blow which didn't got called). But hey Conception won fair and square!
Banal needs to really practice for long fights and not just wait for a KO punch. He only do 1-2 uppercuts which did made Conception clinch for his dire life. This kid(Banal) has potential but not until he taste the bitter of a lost.
