It's funny how things change isn't it? For years Joe needed a Jones fight now Roy needs Calzaghe. I personally think Roy is tarnished goods & I have no interest in seeing him fight Calzaghe or Hopkins.

Jones Tito at one time would have been the biggest fight out there now it's nothing more than a side show.

We all know about RJJ over this side of the pond, and his acheivements, the guy is an all time great. He would be treated with massive respect no matter where in the country he was, but we would still boo him come fight night, not as a sign of disrespect, its just another way of supporting our fighter, and to hopefully rattle him and get to him a little.

If you're Roy Jones at this point in his career, you have to call people out, because your name is not at the top of anyone's list. If that same Roy Jones that got KTFO'd by Tarver and Johnson shows up in Wales, he will get beat. However, I saw some footage of his fight with that kid Hanshaw and Roy's hands looked quicker than they did against Tarver and Johnson. Then again, he wasn't using his hands too much against Tarver in the second fight - he was on that bicycle all night. Nevertheless, it would be interesting fight to see RJJ fight Calzaghe...just imagine what it does to revive Roy's career if he is able to defeat Calzaghe. However, there is no way he gets a decision in Wales, he must KO Calzaghe to win....and that won't happen. I would like to see it, but it won't happen.

 

RJJ could have had Calzaghe already but he the Tito fight makes sense for him now.

Roy would beat Calzaghe 100% of the time. He would beat Calzaghe 9 rounds to 3; or 8 rounds to 4.
