Povetkin is the mandatory for over a year. He had the time. Povetkin should fight Wlad or gave the spot off.

Maybe Povetkin should fight Vitali.

James Toney would also be great or maybe Eddie Chambers.

 

That's really ridiculous. What are some of these young HWs thinking? That they will get title shots offered left and right and they can simply choose from all the dozen offers when they feel better about their chances?

Atlas is right. Why rush these young fighters? Povetkin has under 20 fights and will fight an accomplished champ of 50 fights. Right now Wlad would very likely KO the defensively flawed Povetkin.

Chambers is a good fighter. I am very surpised at the number of people who pick Wlad by KO. I am 100 per cent sure Eddie makes it to the final bell. Wald has to be favoured though. At this stage, I pick Wlad by decision but he will be tested in that fight.

A bunch of ex champs: Holy, Toney, Ruiz, Brewster..no one else seemingly. I think this is higly unlikely though.Maskaev is rumored to face Arreola in October and it would be very untypical of Vitali to reverse his decision.

 

WHY. Chambers defense is that stand in front peek-a-boo lean back. He will get beat to ****. Even if he tries to change things with head movement it still wont help. Look what Wlad did to Chagaev and that head movement.

 

Wlad would punch right through Chambers guard. I am sure you saw this happen in the sparring sessions.

A Ruiz or Briggs fight would not sell. No US network would put that on TV. I even have doubts about Toney he is a fat steroid addicted slob and has not won a meaningful fight in years.

I know the Klitschko's goal is to have all of their fights on US TV and there are few options for Vitali right now that would accomplish that.

 

for US TV crowd, I think Toney is the only option. He can talk it up with his bull**** (if the fans can understand him) Arreola out, Chambers out, Austin NO, Brewster NO, Briggs. Hell NO, its a ****ing mess now. Not much to choose from for the US TV networks

 

Vitali should fight Ruiz next .

 

Interesting to hear that Wlad got the best in a sparring session but think Eddie has improved over the last few years. IMO, Chambers has better defense than Chagaev and I do not see Wlad breaking Chamber's tight guard. Wlad land jabs but will have a hard time landing a lot of powershots.

 

No WAY Ruiz will fight Vitali when he knows he has an easier fight in line with Valuev:deal
