Whats Floyd's response gonna be? Should Cotto try and insult him to try and make it impossible for him to turn him down? Thoughts...
cotto shouldn't have called out mayweather, it ruins his image, he should stay the way he is and not talk.
I must have missed the calling out part when I read it... The guy just said he thinks he can beat Mayweather basically, that he doen't want anyone in particular...just the big names...there wasn't any calling out...
I'm a huge Floyd Mayweather fan. Have been for years and always will be. But its time he gets serious after this wrestling **** and clear the WW division out. He needs and must fight Cotto after DLH. It's tome to leave all the other **** alone for a while and seal his legacy. He owes it to himself and to boxing and its fans.
It didn't hurt his image, Cotto will never be a little ***** and start begging for a fight like Floyd wants him to do. Floyd knows hes there and if Floyd ever in his life opened up his mouth to say he wanted to fight Cotto than the fight would be made right on the spot. Like I said some people are to ******ed to understand that Cotto would fight Mayweather anytime anywhere anyplace or to understand that Cotto's offer is clearly there on the table...and so these people need to gtfo of here with their opinions.
"That's the thing he does for his entire career. He run from the really good boxer kind, he choose the others. I don't know how the people who know about boxing put him in the first place in the pound-for-pound champion." So what is so hard to understand about this? No its not calling out but he is basically talking down on Floyd and in this game that translates to = I want to fight you because you ain't ****. It's not so hard to understand that Cotto isn't going to be a ***** and beg for Floyd to fight him, How unintelligent do you think Floyd Mayweather is to think that Cotto doesn't want to fight him? And btw that line up there is the most "**** talk" that Cotto has ever said in his entire career as a fighter, at least to the public media. I highly doubt that we would see him go past this at all, If mayweather can't figure out what Cotto is trying to say by what he said than maybe Mayweather really is an idiot.
Floyd is most certainly not unintelligent. He just choses to act as if he is. Perhaps the smartest thing to do is to avoid Cotto and fight DelaHoya six more times, plus some sissy fake wrestlers, which aren't fights at all, collect the money, and convince everybody with his mouth how great he is. It's working for "former heavyweight champion" (gag) Roy Jones.
Yea how is that fighting a 16 fights pro green unproven prospect, than a fight a now p4p elite fighter in his prime. Wow is Cotto and his tema take that offer a few years ago it would been a huge mistake. But now Cotto si proven and is in his prime so shut up and study boxing a lot more.
well said, I know he isn't I'm kinda being sarcastic to some people who are playing that roll acting like Floyd doesn't know. Floyd knows he is just acting like he doesn't know or doesn't care so he can milk more money out before fighting Cotto in 09. Think about it...Cotto vs Floyd is being promoted as we speak right now. From now all the way till 09 this fight will have a MASSIVE promotion along with the 24/7 and everything else that goes along with it.
this is a joke. Do you forget that Floyd and Cotto were both under Arum? And that Cotto was very young and green and still only a prospect? Yea Floyd says "I offered Cotto a chance to fight me 2-3 years ago" That is the biggest ***** statement I've ever seen in my life. It basically has no significance.
:good yea i dont think he called him out. and i dont think he needs to. i'm sure floyd knows what the fans want. the public is calling him out for cotto.
Well he said his whole career he has ran from all the quality opponents, he said if he wants to be the best you have to beat the best. I don't know what else he needs to say except " mayweather please fight me!"
Sadly I think Mayweather vs Cotto will most likely happen 2 or 3 years from now when both of them are past their prime and each have a loss on their records from other fighters. If anyone asks me, Floyd is wasting precious time fighting Delahoya again, not to mention this whole wrestling thing.
