I honestly don't think it changes anything bro..
Unless you can take a ballbat to the face, and throw over 100+ punches a round.

    Cotto still beat's his Duck's.

Cotto has no defense what so ever. So if you are talking about Mayweather than it doesnt change anything. Floyd would beat Cotto. wheter Cotto had lost or not. Cotto gets hit waaaay too much.

Potential foes would still be leary, but for those who are interested what was always there has been brought to bear. Stay on top of Cotto and keep hitting him hard and he'll crack. Mosley threw it in gear eventually and figured it out, but he did so way too late and Cotto was able to "run away" with the victory.

No. I don't think the fighters that ducked him would be willing to take the sustained beating that Margarito took in order to win the fight.

But what did Margarito do? He applied pressure and kept throwing hard punches. Not much to it. Margarito was extremely slow, easy to hit, and sloppy. Margarito wasn't able to catch up to Cotto very much cleanly and land flush. Beating Cotto was always a matter of jumping on him and applying pressure or turning it into a brawl. Look at the results of Cotto's "war" when he fought Ricardo Torres. Cotto was never capable of taking what he would dish out. That's not an especially tall order.

Come on Raf. Did you see the fight man. Cotto hit Margo with more than any WW would be able to take. The only thing that won margo the fight was his stamina and unbelievable solid jaw. I don't know of any other welter that would be able to pressure cotto the way margo did without getting hurt. I don't think I saw Tony take one step back last night. The man is a freak. So what if a man is slow and easy to hit if you can't hurt him. It does nothing unless you can pot shot and eveade for 12 rounds. Eventually he will get to you. I honestly think that Cotto may be able to win a rematch later on down the track if he gets his stamina up a bit more and clinches when on the ropes instead of trying to block and slip all those punches.

Think about it though, Shift. Not everyone has to take as much fire as Margarito did, do they? Look at my post. What I'm saying is that Margarito got bombed on because he's a lumbering oaf. Don't assume that Cotto can land combinations like that on everyone. Just fighters like Margarito and Mosley, who no longer (or never did) move their heads. Just because you've seen Cotto teeing off on two guys that are incredibly easy to hit doesn't mean that Cotto is the greatest tactician in the history of boxing. Did Ricardo Torres "pot shot?" No Torres went in there and threw normal, but aggressive exchanges and fought up-tempo. That's enough to put Cotto in serious peril. Cotto is very, very easy to bust up and hurt.

Yes but Cotto beat Torres. And no other WW is gonna be able to pressure Cotto like that is my point. Nobody. You have to be cut from the same cloth as Margarito to be able to apply such unrelenting pressure on Cotto, because the man can box, and showed it for about 6 rounds untill he got caught with his head down (which I claimed may be his downfall in this fight) and ate those three uppercuts against the ropes due to him tiring and realising he can't hurt the man in front of him.
