Now that Dirrel is looking for an opponent for March 2011 .. ANY credibility left??

- He was asking for more money from Showtime before the Ward fight and was informed that he already agreed to his purse's in his contract like the other fighters.

- He mentioned possibly dropping out (not health related) and Showtime released a statment informing Dirrell that he would be in breach of his contract.

Cue venue dispute, date pushback, more venue dispute, then the "neurological problems" (in spite of the fact that he never even tested positive for a concussion) then after his "possibly career ending" head injury and getting out of the super 6 he's miraculously healed and training/sparring again and looking for a fight.......atsch

Might be the biggest joke in the sport right now, and that's saying something.

I actually used to root for Dirrell and was pretty high on his future, sad as I am to admit it now. With the talent he had, this isn't how things should have turned out for him. Sometimes, I guess there's no telling how things will wind up in boxing. Others have dug in to him enough so there's no point in me piling on...I'm just disappointed.

 

Teddy Atlas thought Dirrell was really hurt. So all you STFU!!
