This is a fight that will give us greater perspective as to where Duddy stands. Eastman is well-past his best days and may even be a shot fighter. Duddy should win this fight and I'll pick him by decision.
Duddy is a shitty fighter but I think he will stop Eastman. Eastman is truly shot right now and he's probably taking one last payday before retiring. After getting TKO'd by Miranda he has completely lost his passion for boxing and looked horrible in his last two fights. I don't think this will really show us how bad Duddy is. It will actually do the opposite, it will bring him more hype for knocking out a name opponent.
i'm picking Eastman to end Duddy's train before it even got on track...even a shot Eastman is way better than anyone Duddy ever fought, and everything about Duddy is overrated...he has no power...
My thoughts exactly. Except that I think that there is a remote chance that, even as shot as he is, Eastman could pull the upset. Duddy is mediocre enough to lose this fight. Most likely it goes as you envision, but I wouldn't be shocked if Eastman won, either.
HBO would love that fight. Pavlik could easily KO undefeated Duddy in the first few rounds and get massive hype because of it from the average HBO viewer.
duddy was given all he could handle by a beyond the grave yory boy, would'nt surprise me at all if a shot eastman beats him. we'll see where duddy stands at 160 after this fight.
Eastman is there for the taking. Duddy should win. This is good though, hill make a big jump in the IBF rankings and hopefully be sacraficed to Arthur Abraham in the near future.
Duddy by decision, if he becomes the #1 contender for Pavlik's belts with this win, then its going to be a glorified sparring session for Kelly. I dont think anyone at 160 can stand up to Pavlik's right hand. After he gets his mandatory defense against Duddy, he needs to get Arthur Abrahm in there with him and go after that IBF Belt. 160 is owned by Kelly Pavlik until Jake LaMotta gets resurrected, because I dont think anyone could stand up to Pavlik's barrage of right hands for 12 rounds.
