I have been following MMA since someone told me about this Russian fighter name Fedor. I became an instant fan and follow the sport with him. Watching him over these long years dominating fighters and going on seemingly an endless win streak, I was in total awe. After Pride died, my passion for MMA died with it but the only thing that kept me watching was Fedor and that man was still winning. I was going to stick with it til the day he loses. And it's been a long ride.

I salude the GOAT Fedor!!!! :patriot

    Goodnight MMA.

He'll KO Werdum in the rematch. No need to jump ship.

I'm surprised this thread wasn't about matching Fedor up with James Toney.

**** off then. Fedor lost for the true MMA fans. After he lost he said "he does not fall, does not stand"

One of the most inspirational things I have ever heard.

If you do not keep watching the sport you love. you fell but didn't stand back up.

    Thank you FEDOR!!!

I imagine he'll take the last fight on his Strikeforce contract and retire.

Hes always been. Fedor probably would've never stepped foot in the UFC and now we can see why. The HWs at the top in the UFC are horrible matchups for him. And if Fedor isnt going to fight the top-tier HW's, there is no point fighting. A loss is good for him, because if he won, that undefeated record would've been still on his mind and he might've just done everything he could to protect it.

Either way, Werdum is a good fighter. And could easily beat the majority of HW's in the UFC. I think he'd beat Mir and to be honest, I wouldnt be surprised if he beat Carwin and got his revenge over JDS.

I'm with you, I understood what Fedor said. It was insiprational. "He who does not fall does not stand!"

These monkeys will never get it.

i have to admit, i'm very disappointed. fedor is the man who got me into MMA as well years ago, and to see the last reigning pride legend (well, there is shogun) lose his mystique really sucks. i really hope for a comeback, but at the end he hinted like he only wanted one more fight.. we'll see.

i feel like every single one of my favorite fighters has been destroyed in the last year or two. but this is why we watch sports folks

It bums me out big time but it won't stop me from watching MMA. His credentials are still in tact and everyone gets caught.

Explain how he lost for the true MMA fans?

That actually makes no sense. Why cant you accept it for what it is? He lost.
