There are plenty of respected posters on here(most of the mods) who consider Wlad to be an ATG. Based mostly on longevity, but also because he has some good wins. Holmes' is similar, he's an ATG based on longevity, consistency and sheer volume of wins more than having a stacked resume like Ali or Holyfield.

Wlad will get into the HOF whether you like it or not, Vitali will almost certainly get in too. But Wlad is a 100% certainty. Stay mad. It's not even debatable.

 

No ATG would ever , ever go life and death with a guy like Sam Peter. Ever.

Your standards of greatness is about as shallow as a rain puddle. But i guess its understandable why a guy who hasn't seen any fights prior to 2003 would think he is a great .

 

Rabbit punches aside Wlad completely outclassed Peter.

Peters was extremely lucky to survive a second round KO loss , being floored 3 times against a fat MaCline who turned up in the worst condition of his career. It was only because he gassed out that Peter was able to win on points. Look at a knackered McCline unable to move about , get out pointed , never once being under any difficulty , then look at Wlad fully deserving of a DQ loss for holding worse than Awkanwndy vs Lennox Lewis.
Wlads career is riddled with examples like this. Far more times has he shown not to be a great then he has actually done something great.
He's never produced greatness in the ring , thats where it matters , but you're obsessed with him being an ATG anyway. That proves beyond any doubt that you aint a true fan of the sport

Oh but he did... Those dubious knockdowns aside he clearly proved he was the better fighter. I've seen both Peter fights several times, 1st wasn't an conclusive as it should have been because of the illegal knockdowns and the fact Wlad was towards the end of his "rebuilding stage" Peter wasn't anything special... But he could apply pressure and bang - which was enough to cause a flawed Wlad some issues, coupled with the illegal rabbit shots of course.

What about Journeyman Bert Cooper dropping and hurting Holyfield and Moorer? Do they not belong in the HOF or lose their greatness as a result? Judging by your criteria they would.
