Now that he's an 8-weight champ, is it time to start thinking of Pac as a top 20 ATG?

The 154 title is BS IMO. However, he did fight Margarito above 147lbs so I give him props for that. As a matter of fact, I give him all the props. Pac is easily an ATG.

    1. cherry pick? , you are dumb , who apart from Floyed should Pacman of fought? PW? , so if a natural JWW does not fight a MW did is a cherry picker?

    2. he might not of fully cleaned out a division of all the 'contenders' but he did fight Erik, MAB and JMM one after the other, who else has fought 3 atg one after the other?

    3. yes he was fighting and beating men when he was a boy, and this should be held against him?

Floyd was fighting a a kid, but he was fighting other kids, grown men are a diferent thing altogether.

    4. why do all you Floyd lovers always have 'truth' ' for real' etc.... in your posts, but then post bull****?

i aint blaming him for the floyd fight. im just stating he aint number 1 at WW. maybe it aint his fault the fight hasn't happened, but it still hasn't happened.

i know what duran did. the problem with you is that you are applying hindsight to duran and not pacman. when the dust has settled on pacs career i imagine he'll be seen on about that level. which floyd will probably be remembered at also.

i rate leonard quite highly. he beat duran, hearns and hagler. nuff said.

They gave him a belt last night. But no way did Manny win that belt the right way or fairly. It just shows how promoters like Arum own boxing. It should not be that way. Can you imagine a promoter in the NBA controlling who wins a ring? Lets give Shaq a ring. No there is only one ring in the NBA and only one way to win it.

    1. yes a cherry pick. he doesnt have to fight a middleweight you silly person. he should just fight someone who has achieved something in the last two years other than cement blocks and ass whuppings. pac was a huge favourite for a reason, margo never had a chance, as shown on fight night. to suggest margo ever had a chance is hating on pac. pac will be remembered as the best of this generation, to suggest he would ever struggle to a man who got twatted off mosley is ludicrous.

    2. a lot of people have fought atg consecutively. i was just saying i believe a lot of the top 10 have cleaned out divisions, so it is obviously something people rate highly.

    3. i never said it should be held against him, did you read my post? i said a lot of people have jumped through the weights so it isn't as special as it is made out to be.

    4. floyd lover? are you an actual *****? only a ***** could turn that post around and make it about floyd :patsch stop riding your heroe's dick and face facts. he doesnt want the fight with pacman. i'm sick of you *****s, my post contained names like whittaker, duran, leonard, pacman and you single out the ***** :think save your nuthugging for a different forum :hi:

    ye just to sum up,

i believe duran, floyd, pac will all be about the same when the dust settles.

i believe leonard is one of the best fighters of all time.

you are right i won't be changing my opinions because they are just that, opinions. there is no factual list, it is all about opinion.

Why doesn't Arum have Pacman win the 160,168 and 175 pound titles on the same night by fighting Berto at a agreed upon weight of 165. That is how ridiculous this belt stuff is getting. Belts do not mean much anymore, and the promoters are the reasons why.

god i can't help being suckered back in...

I agree that Leonard is great, but even if it is an opinion... It just doesn't make any sense that you can consider him greater than Duran. Even if we ignore Duran's reign at light weight, Montreal saw both Duran and Leonard meet at their peaks and Duran proved - and it wasn't even close - who was the better man. Duran's post-Montreal achievements are also greater.

I know that you say "Leonard beat Hagler, Duran and Hearns. Nuff said", but it is not really "nuff said", because of the circumstances surrounding the bouts. We may even take the respective fights of Duran and Leonard vs. Marvin Hagler as acid tests: Leonard lay in wait until he saw that Hagler had lost something and then challenged him to a 12 round bout. Duran, a natural light weight don't forget, fought Hagler during his pulverising middle weight run, and ended up being the only one of his victims to make it to the final bell. Over 15 rounds, too. If you really look at these two fights, it is very difficult to consider Leonard's performance greater than Duran's.

Anyway, there you go. Best of luck to you. I'm a fellow Leeds fan, we're looking pretty good at the moment, no? :good

Leonard beat greater guys than Duran by far. By far with no argument. He beat greats Duran,Benitez,Hearns,Hagler when they were all on top. Duran did not. Duran lost to Hagler, how can that be better than Ray beating Hagler?

Was Grover Riley's performance in his win over Chavez better than Meldrick Taylor's in his loss?

he was awesome at lw agreed. but i dont put losing to hearns and hagler above beating hearns and hagler.

we are indeed! playoff position again, automatic is still a way off tho.
