I like Fury but that's truth
Wlad was 40 years old and no matter how much he tool care of himself or what physical condition he was in? His best years were behind him

I have little doubt the wlad that Haye ran from a few years earlier would have beaten Fury

That was the time of the sauna story I think lol

I have even less doubt that vitali would do a number on Fury at his best

He was never outclassed in pointfighting but aside from Lewis, who was initially unprepared for a war and hadn't been studying Vitali as long as Vitali had been studying him, he didn't face anyone in the top bracket. Iron chin so he didn't get KO'd + most of his opponents being short and/or plodders = massive dominance.

Vitali is supremely underrated as is the era he fought. Only idiots think the 00's have no good fighters.

I like how the people who claim Fury’s resume is weak to criticise Fury are the same people who are willing to overlook Vitali’s terrible resume when they paint him as an ATG

The best boxer Vitali ever fought was shot to pieces old man Lennox Lewis who carved his face into a thousand different bloody pieces

Vitali is certainly top 15 if not even top 10heavyweights

VK was an extremely tough individual, with an iron chin and a very slick, unique style

combined with his extreme size, he steamrolled pretty much everyone….
aside from his war with Lewis, in which he was ahead on points, and had Lewis stunned and hurt

his shoulder tear against the byrd was obviously his only other loss

he has an incredible record, an extremely high knockout percentage, the fact he had never been behind on points in any fight, had never been taken off of his feet, ever, and came back after having surgery and four years of inactivity with NO tuneup fights to face and beat the current champion to reclaim this title

he was an amazing heavyweight monster and he’s extremely underrated

Vitali was a tough man who never backed down from a fight. Great fighter.

    He lost 3 to Byrd.

Honestly I won't say Byrd outclassed him but I think when people actually watch the fight they'll see it was a close and competitive fight. I know I was surprised last time I watched it. I would say this fight is the closest he ever came to being outclassed.

    Not really.

You can count the number of rounds he lost in his entire career on one hand.

The overlap between those who think Fury has a thin resume and those who think Vitali has a deep resume is very very small.
