I wouldn't go that far. He was hardly shut out. He won 3 or 4 rounds at least by memory. Looked a bit of a clown, but the bare facts of the matter are a reasonably wide points loss to a great against 52 second demolition against a Columbian drug trafficker So...not really almost as bad!

Wouldn't say that as Haye lost early an all...and look at him now. But will say its gonna be damn harder for Khan, he most definately has a weak chin and that sort of KO is really hard to come back from. He had the weight of expectation on his shoulders and failed miserably. At least on his comeback there is no expectation anymore.
Khan wasn't even exposed at all. He got cold in the 1st round by a big punch and didn't recover. Why is that when anyone gets caught, they are exposed? Prescott had something like a 90% KO ratio, so he brought power. Just because his resume was less than impressive going into the fight doesn't mean he doesn't have world class power. Dude can crack and he caught Amir. Khan didn't recover, no excuse from him either, but to call him exposed when he got caught by a big puncher is ridiculous.

Haye lost to a world champion, and he was on his feet when it was stopped after taking quite a few shots. Khan got rocked to the soles of his boots by a jab tonight before the real punches landed. Sorry but I think Khan/Haye comparisons are irrelevent at this point. Haye is a unified world champion, Khan is a hype job who failed at the first hurdle. When I say 'failed' I actually mean 'FAILED' by the way, he never even lasted a minute :shock:
The fight was over in 51 seconds, how can he be judged on that. He was caught cold throwing a punch, stunned by a left hook, with Prescott landing a right, then a brutal left hook that put him down. He still got up on very shaky legs and then was caught again and dropped for the count, but all this happened so fast, and those were huge punches in there... And for douches saying he can't recover from this: Ruiz was KO'd worse by Tua and he won world titles, Duran was KO'd worse than this by Hearns and came back, Byrd was KO'd worse by Ibeabuchi and came back, Codrington was KO'd worse than this by Green and has since been decent too. I'm not even a huge Khan fan, but to say he can't come back is foolish and ignorant. Haye lost to a way past-it 40 yr old Williams, who wasn't a huge puncher, whereas Khan lost against a up and coming prospect with serious firepower. Khan has tons of time to improve. He got caught, It happens.
