I see another couple of twists and turns yet before Froch gets his shot at the WBC.

According to this article in todays paper, Froch is setting his sights on a showdown with Calzaghe next year. I'm not sure if he will get it. Having said that if Pavlik loses, Froch wins a title...

Hopefully so. It's about time both Taylor's reign at middleweight, and Pavlik were put into perspective. When sloppy Froch knocks him out we'll have it.

It May Be Too Late For Froch. He's Got Himself Into A Position Where He May Potentially Have One Shot At A Title. He's The Wrong Side Of 30 Now And Has Yet To Be Tested In The Ring. As Much As You Can Give Jermain Taylor ****, He's Not The Easiest Assignment In The World. Froch Has Stagnated And Has Been Treading Water For A Hell Of A Long Time. If He Gets The Taylor Fight And He Blows It, He's Pretty Screwed. Everyone Knows He Can Bang And Has A Fairly Awkward Style - Not Someone To Put On A Showcase Against Or Take A Risk - He May Struggle To Get Fights.

Even Frank Warren Has Lost Interest In Him After Trying To Nab The Cobra A Few Year Ago. It Could Turn Into One Of The Most Frustrating Careers Ever.

Yes I think Taylor would beat Froch who I beleive is very overrated, especially by himself :)

I don't think Froch is over rated. I agree it's difficult to judge just how good he really is due to his lack of meaningful competition but I think he could potentially be a handful for most at Super Middleweight. His mouth makes people polarize their opinion of him so he's put himself on a pedestal to be shot down until he achieves anything. He seems to have a decent chin so I can't see him being blasted out. His defence is his biggest drawback but I guess you can say he compensates for that with his punch power. His knee also concerns me. But it all means nothing until he mixes it with the Kesslers, Mundines & Taylors of this world.

I'd like to see someone else push him first though. Someone to really get in his face like Bika. Bute depatched him without as much trouble as Calgazhe so it would be interesting to see how the Cobra does.

I think Taylor can still improve as a fighter so a fight between him and Froch will be good. For me Froch can beat just about all the other guys at 168 apart from Kessler with only Bute giving him a tough fight.

Froch came onto the pro game quite late, i think hes got a good 4 years left. If he doesn't win a title agaisnt Taylor he will win it later on.
