Now that Lomachenko has said that he will prioritize defense, will we c another PBF?

No, Lomachenko doesn't fight anything like Floyd at all. You can be defensively responsible without being Floyd.

You need to watch Floyd's earlier fights at 130 if you really think he avoided the pocket.

I watched them and they're great. Floyd was more offensive. but by default, unless stated otherwise, when people speak of Floyd they talk about the second half of his career at 140 and 147. I assume Lomachenko's comment was to associate himself with Mayweather to garner some attention. Mayweather is most popular for the last 10 years of his career so I assume that's what Lomachenko was referring to. I'm sorry if you felt like I was offending Floyd. Not everyone is out to attack him every chance they get.

Mayweather and Lomachenko do have their similarities. Both defensively brilliant.
It'd be hard to say this doesn't remind me of Floyd:

They also both have the same stylistic threat. Mayweather has passed the torch on for someone to come and get it, turns out the torch is being handed to a fighter that's pretty similar to him in certain ways and has a similar fight philosophy. Some think it's the Golovkin era, I think it could be the Lomachenko era.

Floyd's level of opposition is significantly higher than Lomachenko's. Loma is a great boxer, but who doesn't look good fighting scrubs. The one time he stepped up he got mugged.

Loma isn't going to change his style. He's had 300+ amateur bouts in which he was 99% successful. His only pro loss was against a cheat who didn't make weight, threw more low blows than I've ever seen in a fight, and yet still almost got koed. He rarely gets hit clean so his defense is solid enough.

Hilarious. Floyd lived in the pocket. It's called a front pivot, and exemplary footwork. Loma has a great front pivot, great head movement feet are crazy etc. etc. he arm punches unless he's throwing to the body though.

I feel like this point has already been addressed. I do think Loma needs to sit on a few of his punches if he wants to successfully move up in weight though. Nobody at 135 will give his power any respect and I doubt too many at 130 will either.
