I think Hatton will do to Marquez what he thought he could do to Pac.

They both have/had resided on da P4P list. 147 is 2 big 4 both fighters. I think north of 135 iz 2 much fo da Mexican Warrior. 140 is ideal for Ricky. PAC nd MArquez r competing in weights above their best. That's P4P ****.

I could c Ricky being 2 much size 4 JMM bcuz of his style. Late rds Marquez may suffer. If Juan Manuel wins n spectacular fashion at dis stage of his career, WOW. I think prime 4 prime at 140 Ricky always wins. SIZE plays a role bcuz of styles. Whilst, Juan M. is technical, he's more of an offensive minded bull dozer n da twilight nd P4P successes of his career. He was ducked like da plague during his prime by MAB, EM, and Prince Naz. Finally he's getting recognition nd paydays.

This is a bull**** fight. As a Hatton fan, I hate this fight because Marquez will probably KO Hatton, but even so what does that prove? Same goes for Hatton. Either way, it's a couple of shot fighters fighting each other that doesn't prove much really.

This fight has to happen at a catchweight...143 or 144...anybody fear for hatton's health, just making the weight? Let alone the fight itself....

hewito: it was sarcasm, aimed at mag1965's ridiculously stupid comments. He must be a *******.

Bradley's chin is top notch, his workrate is impeccable, and he's a legit 140. He would beat JMM at this point, who is basically immobile.

Hatton is the perfect stylistic match-up for Marquez, if Marquez wasn't so old and overweight this would be a mismatch. Again, it depends on where this fight takes place. If it's in USA, it should still be an easy one for Marquez.

I think this is a very interesting matchup and it would be a crossroads type of fight.I like marquez, because even in his ud loss to floyd he landed some hard right hands on mayweather that stung him a couple times and marquez is a very good boxer-puncher.I also like ricky hatton, because he smothers u and doesn't give u room to think or breathe, but his style was is not good against great boxers or counterpunchers.

I would go with hatton, because i seen how juan diaz was able to push marquez backwards and hatton is faster, stronger, better footwork and hits alot harder, than diaz..Don't get me wrong it will be a good fight, but hatton would smother marquez and not let him get set to counter,i see this fight kinda like hatton vs jose luis castillo.

Hatton's habits between fights have eaten him (excuse the pun).

He's ridiculously overweight again and would pay the price. He is not elite level and never will be.

Shame, coz I really like the guy!

    let me clear something up.

Was hatton considered shot after the mayweather fight? Or was he only shot after the pac fight? This is where the trouble begins for Marquez. If he wins he gets no credit. Ricky should fight a B level fighter like Paulie again and win impressively to stop accusations that he is shot. This way marquez can get full credit.

The only reason pac got credit was because hatton beat paulie impressively. If marquez beats Hatton now people will say he was shot after Pac.

Hatton for me IF he starts losing weight NOW!!! He needs a couple of months excercise not boxing but regular cv work nothing to much to get his weight down and then a good 12 week hard camp and for me he has more left than JMM especially at LWW Hatton by 4 or 5 rounds decision

Thing is, at this point credit and reputation don't mean anything.

Both guys are looking for a final payday against a winnable opponent, and so this is the best option. One guy is basically finished (Hatton), the other is very close to (Marquez). Hopefully both guys retire after this bout.

This fight makes a lot of sense for both guys. Right now both guys are on the downsides of their careers. I'm not totally sold that Hatton is shot and JMM proved with Diaz and Casamayor that he is still operating at a high level. But they are both getting to the point where they could look old overnight. If that happens in this fight then the loser secures this one last big payday. If one of them looks old overnight against Khan, Bradley, Soto, Katsidis, or someone else then they lose and lose that big paycheck. The loser gets this one last big payday while the winner gets atleast one more.

For the fight itself I'll take JMM by decision. Hatton is made to order for him but with Hatton's size advantage he's going to make JMM work for it. Good fight and I hope it comes off.
