Do you think Zab will improve now that he has a real trainer training him. IMO I think he can only get better with a trainer like Floyd Sr. in his corner.

    What do you all think?

Mayweather may be able to teach him a trick or two...but ultimately, Zab is like Jermain Taylor once they get in the ring, they lose focus.

It's not the fighting skills or technique which is the problem with Zab . . . it is his fighting heart.

Can Mayweather do something about it? Nah . . . I don't think so.

its not his fighting heart either... he comes to fight every fight and you can never question his heart.....

you can question his intelligence though.

I think he could help Zab on defense.

I think Floyd Sr. can help Zab Judah grow as a boxer, but I don't know if they can effect much change in one fight - and it's not exactly a good idea to try out a new training and corner team when going up against someone as solid, professional and dangerous as Shane Mosley.

. . . well that can be worst . . . training doesn't improve a fighters inteligence, it comes in natural.

You don't practice what you'll do when you get hit or when you're in trouble . . . cases like these . . . it boils down to instincts.

Is Floyd Sr. exclusively training Zab? Or it in conjunction with Yoel?

thats not entirely true......its not so much inteligence as far as putting everything together.. but its zabs thought process & ability to stick to a game plan ....

    example

a good basketball coach may be able to change a slasher into a jump shooter if it benefits his playing style....

having roger may change zabs game plan and all that zab has to do is execute and follow through...

i always felt zabs main problem is that he couldnt follow through with his game plans because his trainer was his father and at the end of the day because of the relationship they had he couldnt listen...

I thought that Floyd Sr. had turned Zab down?

well, its only a matter of time imo until the superman zab weve grown uccustumed to seeing, the super speed, the super power, will start diminishing... from what ive heard hes already not looking that well in his recent fights, and i thought he looked a tad slower the last fight i saw of his after cotto.

If he doesnt win this fight against mosley... it is getting very near to his last hurrah, if its not.

I believe that Zab will be much better off without Yoel, Having his Dad in his corner obviously added alot of pressure to a situation that has enough already. Plus Yoel gives the worst between round advice I've ever heard.

I believe they will train him together with sr. taking the bulk of the action.
