There should be no excuse for not making the Mosley fight happen.

Floyd once said Mosley can't draw flies hence I voted option 3.

I think you may be on to something. The tragedy happened a few days ago, if Berto was going to pull out for that reason alone I think that he would have done it right away, and not waited a few days. I think that he may have been made some kind of promise of payment(some kind of step aside money), or a match with the winner no matter what. Its a win win win for everyone except Manny. Fans win because we get Floyd vs Shane and the winner vs Berto. Its a win for all the fighters involved because they get big paydays. Its a lost for Manny because he will be forced to fight Bradley at best if he gets by Clottey, cuz he isnt going anywere near Williams, who is the other loser in this.

That cat is a closet *******, a fight between shane and floyd is a *******s worst nightmare:lol:

There is about a 95% chance that the winner will overtake him as p4p number one.

If Fraud doesnt fight Mosley now he will never will.

theres no excuses left for him to use not to fight Shane.

I agree. If this is the case it's surely possible that Berto got a step aside payment as well, which would be fitting given the nature of events. The timing would also tie in with what Richard Schaeffer was saying this weekend about Mayweather Jr announcing his plans in the next few days.

say what? thats ****ing rediculous. You can debate if the winner will overtake Pac as the best WW or not but Pac is LOCKED as p4p #1 unless Clottey beats him.

Don't forget that Pac could still be fighting at JrWW and maybe even LW. Pac would have been a big favorite to beat Mosley, even at 147 without a catchweight.

Personally now, if the Mayweather vs Mosley fight gets made I will be routing for Clottey to do a number on Pac just so there's a nice karmic circle to all his bull****! A potentially better fight gets made and Pac gets put on his arse! Sweet!

well I would think step aside money is possible, but then again reading this article

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4837075

it said Berto lost at least 8 family members to the earthquake, so that could be a pretty good reason for not fighting.

either way, Mosley needs somebody to fight and unless a Welter steps up on short notice (Cintron? Quintana?) Shane is better off waiting to fight Floyd in March.

**the rest of the Mosley-Berto card will go as planned right?
