If Pacquiao vs Mayweather is worth $100million, Arum gets his cut from only Pacquiao. If Pacquiao vs Top Rank Fighter is worth $50million Arum gets his cut from both fighters and he i guarenteed to have the winner in another big PPV. If Floyd completley destroys Pacquiao (I AM NOT SAYING THIS WILL HAPPEN) which is possible, Pacquiao will not longer be a mega draw.

THIS :deal. Look what he has done with Margarito... If he rematches him against Cotto or puts him against Pac he still gets alot of money from a cheater who nobody is interested in fighting(other than other top rank fighters). This man is a business and marketing genius.

 

What I'm trying to figure out, why would Arum lie about something like this? If Pac didn't accept to everything and Floyd signs, then it would make Pac look bad...... use some sense Floydettes

Pac accepting the 14 day window only months of letting it destroy the first negotiations leads me to believe he definately ducked mayweather the first time.

assuming that pac-may (50-50 split) makes 100M while pac vs any other top rank fighter(60-40 split) makes only 50M and arum gets 37% off pac's purse and let's say arum gets around 60% from the rest of the toprank fighters, i believe arum's payday as promoter would be way bigger if pac-may gets made. Do the math..

besides, arum's approaching 80. does he really need more of what he already have. come to think of it, he can't bring his wealth in the after-life.

I think deep inside, arum wants this bigtime fight to happen and witness it first hand while he still hasn't expired yet.
