Going in a different direction this time. Instead of looking at resume. Let's use this thread to breakdown Pacquiao's skills and attributes during his career at each weight class. I'm not including 108 though. Try not comment if you have not actually watched all/most of his fights. Feel free to add more categories if you wish

    112 pounds

    Power: 7.5
    Hand Speed: 7
    Foot Speed: 7
    Stamina: 7.5
    Chin: 4
    Controlling Range: 6
    Left Hand: 7.5
    Right Hand: 3
    Head Movement: 4
    Combinations: 5

    122 pounds

    Power: 8.5
    Hand Speed: 8.5
    Foot Speed: 9
    Stamina: 9.5
    Chin: 8
    Controlling Range: 7.5
    Left Hand: 8.5
    Right Hand: 5
    Head Movement: 7
    Combinations: 7

    126 pounds

    Power: 9
    Hand Speed: 9
    Foot Speed: 9.5
    Stamina: 10
    Chin: 8.5
    Controlling Range: 8.5
    Left Hand: 9.5
    Right Hand: 7
    Head Movement: 9.5
    Combinations: 8.5

    130 pounds

    Power: 8
    Hand Speed: 8.5
    Foot Speed: 9
    Stamina: 9.5
    Chin: 8
    Controlling Range: 9
    Left Hand: 9
    Right Hand: 7.5
    Head Movement: 8
    Combinations: 9.5

    135-140 Pounds

I'll use the Hatton and Diaz fights to just kind of combine the weight classes. Hard to truly evaluate because Diaz and Hatton are not great fighters.

    Power: 8
    Hand Speed: 9
    Foot Speed: 8.5
    Stamina: 8.5
    Chin: 7.5
    Controlling Range: 9
    Left Hand: 9
    Right Hand: 7.5
    Head Movement: 7.5
    Combinations: 9.5

    145-150 pounds

    Power: 6
    Hand Speed: 7.5
    Foot Speed: 7
    Stamina: 8
    Chin: 6.5
    Controlling Range: 7.5
    Left Hand: 8.5
    Right Hand: 8
    Head Movement: 6.5
    Combinations: 8.5

Some observations. 126 was Pacquiao's peak weight class as far as physicality goes with 122 pounds and 130 not far behind. Technically, he was looking like a finished product by the 2nd Morales fight and at the very latest by the 2nd Marquez fight. As an overall it's like splitting hairs if he was best at 126 pounds or 130 pounds. You could make an argument for either one.

Would be nice to have seen his opponents at each weight also.

What weight would people say was his optimal?

I'd say 126 or 130 pounds. Lean towards 126 though.

He doesn't have an inside game needs space to get shots of there's a pros and con to this.

Pro: He can get leverage on his shot to maximize the power.

Con: Boxer can control that distance and time him coming in and Pac misses wildy at times and out of balanced.

If he had an inside game like Maidana where he can rough house a dude he would he lethal.
