Now that Povetkin is certified clean, will Wilder surrender the belt?

Let's be blunt, meldonium was never the issue. It was legal until January, and trace amounts, such as were found in Povetkin's system, can stay in the fat and be released at a later time. WADA, not the WBC, but WADA itself has ruled that athleletes have until October on this.

The issue is that Deontay Wilder is, and always has been a coward. He wants to fringe contenders/gate keepers as heavyweight title matches. Some of us have always known that he was going to abandon the title, and he has said that if he is forced to fight Povetkin, then he will.

So, the question is, does he give up the belt now that he has no more excuses?

Wilder should be forced to cancel this FARCE of a fight with or be stripped. 4 straight voluntary defenses? What a load of ****. At this rate he'll have gone 2 years since winning the belt without facing his mandatory. Complete disgrace.

I agree, he needs to cancel bum fight with Arreola and re-schedule Pov fight for August.

    He's a total FRAUD.

I will give Windmill Wilder a pass.........if he agrees to fight someone from an old folks home first. give them 2 weeks to adapt to being mobile without their walker and then.........WAR.

Just when I thought Deonkey's supporters had been singled out, another one pops up, or an alt appears

    LMAO step down?

Wilder has what, 35/36 fights and has fought 1 top 10 ranked opponent. The USA'S need for a heavyweight champion is borderline corrupt.

Oh no!, how dare he "run away" from a proven cheater. Seriously, you urgently need to boycott oxygen.
