No, that is the whole point no one knows for a fact if he was injured because he has all of these different excuses why he could not step in the ring with Wlad.

BTW, Archie Moore challenged Joey Maxim for his light heavyweight title when he was 39 years old. Moore's cut of the purse $800, Maxim's cut $100,000! Why because unlike Haye, Moore knew that if he could just get Haye in the ring he would win the title!

Haye had to fake injury because that was the only way of pulling out of the fight without being sued by the Klitschkos. If Haye went to the Klitschkos and said Setanta is going bust and he wasn't getting paid the Klitschkos could have said 'oh well not our problem' and it then would have been down to Haye to fight for free (which is ****ing stupid for anyone to think he would in his most risky and dangerous fight to date) or pull out and get nothing and risk being sued for breach of contract.:deal

Bit different though isn't it? Moore at the end of his career looking for one last hoorah, $800 still enough to pay his training expenses ect..

Haye is young and has a whole career ahead of him. If he loses and fights for free he has taken a step back in his career, got hurt, and can't even pay his training expenses (which i assure you are not cheap as the guy owns his own gym and stable of fighters)! Would you fight the toughest and riskiest fight of your career for free? Course you wouldn't... stop being such a twat

First off, he was not going to have to fight for free. He was just going to possibly fight without the extra TV money.

Second, his age works against him in this argument. A man at the end of his career is more likely to hold out to make sure that he can make every penny he can than a young man with a long career ahead of him.

Third, it is the bottom line proof that for all Haye's talk its just BS and he did not think he was going to win. The money has Archie Moore has proven is not in beating the champ, it is in becoming champ.

The sad thing is not about Haye pulling out for money. It's about Hayes stupid ass clown fans claiming that Wlad "ducked" Haye by not postponing for another 10 or 12 weeks after he already waited for Haye from April to June.

Where the **** have you been? SETANTA MONEY WAS THE ONLY MONEY HAYE WAS GETTING!!!! Setanta was going bust and couldn't pay Haye which would mean fighting for free...

Not really because he had already made his money... he was looking for 1 last hoorah to prove he was the best!

Boy you are just plain naive and ignorant... do you work for free? do you risk your life in your job? course you don't so shut up

There are 2 completely ridiculous things that get said in this whole situation.

One is that Wlad ducked Haye by taking on Chag on the original date instead of waiting for Haye, the other is that Haye should have fought for free if he really thought he could beat Wlad.

    Both statements are ludicrous.

Have you ever read one of these inventions called a "book." In it is contained information much like a computer which seems to be all you are use to. One such bit of information contained in one of these "books" is about Archie Moore. HE WAS FU(KING BROKE WHEN HE FOUGHT MAXIM!!!!!

He took the fight for $800 because he knew he would win if he just got Maxim in the ring he would win. And he knew if he became light heavyweight champ he could eventually translate that into the biggest fight of his career and payday to that point when he fought Marciano.

Your boy Haye knows nothing of the confidence that make up real champions like Archie Moore. Haye has never had a fight that wasn't a set up for him. It is the difference between talk and actions. Some guys talk the talk, some guys walk the walk. Moore walked the walked, while Haye just talks.

So let me get this straight.Haye makes his own "deal" for payment. When his deal "falls" through he "injures" his back and then has the balls to blame Klit for not wanting to postpone the event?
**** the idiot Haye.Is it Klit's fault that his opponent is an imbecile and horrid biz man?:patsch

Larry Merchant said it the best after Wlad beat Bryd

"They all want to fight Wlad, NOT because of his chin but because of the WALLET. Wlad is the biggest money maker out there for boxers to fight"

IMO That is EXACTLY why Haye called out wlad on HBO when he announced he was moving up NOT about "beating the best" it was about trying to get the biggest payday of his life. Haye actions during the contract talks and pulling out because he wasnt getting enough money proves it is all about the big payday before he retires
