Heres the FACTS, the example of Moore-Maxim is a very rare occurence in 50 years of world title fights, mostly BOTH fighters get paid in world title fights.

The funding Haye secured for his purse fell though (no fault of Wlads) and he didn't want to take the fight, with the attendant risks of losing, getting injured etc, unless he was going to get paid (as professional boxers tend to do). That doesn't mean he didn't think he could win, it means he's realistic enough to admit that there was a possibility of losing and he wanted paying for it (again like most pro boxers)

To say he could have gone to Wlad and got the money is more than a little naive and would have left Haye with no options whatsoever if (when?) Wlad refused and told him had to take the fight for free or face the cancellation lawsuits etc.

If people stopped playing favourites, trying to find one side to blame and discussing how much one fighter insulted the other or how scared one fighter was then they'd realize that this whole issue is a simple as a professional fighter wanting to get paid for fighting.

I mean, what is the real harm done here? Wlad fought his number 3 challenger and won the Lineal title while Haye looks like he's in line for a shot at Vitali and can then fight Wlad if he wins. Doesn't seem to me things turned out too badly for either fighter.....its just a few haters/ huggers on ESB who seem to be bent out of shape about the whole thing.

Very true i im just at the point where it starts to get really annoying people like swann saying wlad ducked him because he moved on.. the guy has a mandantory in Sept... To me its fine if he pulled out BUT saying that he should STFU and fight and his fans should lay off until he does something in the ring... it was rediculous when he was talking crap on friday night fights after he pulled out?, Also everybody calling Chagaev a bum? He ws ranked 3 and undefeated and had beat some decent heavy's to boot did he perform well that night no.. but then again what current heavy would that night?

It would have been his biggest. Haye wanted Sentanta all to himself, and Haye himself backed out of securing the stadium that would have given him BIG $$$ Haye had a chance to generate more. Haye also wasnt having to spend 1 dime on promotional items like press conferences, travel, hotel, etc. I am not 100% sure but Haye might have had some cash coming from Wlad just like any voluntary opponent would get

Is he still using a third party to negotiate for him with Vitali or don't you know that? Was it Golden Boy or someone from them that stepped in to get the Wald negotiations back on track?
