Elaborate when you say "holding" though. Holding so that Kov couldn't get away from him or holding so that Kov couldn't punch. And saying that you didn't expect to see Ward in the ring with Kov is a disrespect to him, Kov and us fans. Keep it real.

Lederman clearly won the fight......................................Lederman had it 116 - 111 Kovalev, no way did Ward win 7 rounds. There is a rematch clause, Ward does not want a rematch, but he signed the conrtract, Ward will be sued and forced to fight Kovalev and Kovalev will win once again, only by knockout and Ward knows it..............

His power didn't go anywhere,he simply didnt throw enough one /twos which is how he caught Ward in rnd 2. He coasted to Wards tempo ,who did nothing but fight not to fight (avoiding ) any position at range so he back pedaled the whole fight, got more aggressive when Kovalev slowed around 6 rnd . One thing is for sure Wards lucky Kovalev decided to coast the guy was staggering from jabs .

Was the fight REALLY close? Well who was knocked down and took more damage ? Who was the challenger ? Fight was not close ! Close rnds do not equal a close fight .

    That is the topic ,fool.

And your all over the place on here FISHING for a reason to call it close because you would then have to eat your words with others you claimed didnt know how to score fights .If you want a reality check go read Bernsteins review who picked Ward to win.

In round 10 there was a moment where Kov just misses Ward with a monster right hand by an Inch... It was a close fight in many ways and in a rematch I see Ward dominating but as we have seen it just takes a moment and a differance of a few inches to make the differance.

Ward wanted it more and showed far more desire than Kovalev who hardly let his hands go. For that reason I think Ward is the better fighter

Ward was the one going for the clinch. It was indeed not really holding, but kind of. It was spoiling the fight, always goind underneath Kovalev's arms. Who blames him, he did what he had to do against Kovalev (Lederman's plan was not going to work! I found his idea hilarious in fact.).

When I say I didn't expect Ward to accept the fight with Kovalev, I don't think I am disrespecting anyone, considering Ward's receent history. After S6, Ward arguably avoided Bute, Stevenson, Froch in a rematch and Kessler in a rematch. Look who he fought between Froch and Kovalev. I was surprise he accepted the chalenge and it change my opinion of him. I have more respect now for Ward than I did a year ago. I think I have a balance opinion on the matter. Plus, I am not from the US, neither am I eastern european (if somewhat that really matters).

Only Ward was clinching/grappling? How many times did Sergey use the Klitschko neck lock? Kellerman also commented that Kovalev was clinching at times.

for me kova proved his chin to me, i actually seriously thought he could be put down by a good counter shot coming in even by the likes of ward, he proved he has granite because some sharp ass shots he did not even flinch over.

he also proved to me JUST HOW GOOD his jab was.. seriously he is known for his power first and boxing ability second but that jab was setting up ALOT and landing on a master boxer like ward, i did not think hed have half the ammount of success with it that he ended up having.

ward : proved he can adjust on the biggest of stages when he needs to, he was knocked down and im sure kova has incredible power, he did not look hurt but mentally that knockdown would have put ALOT of fighters in a different mindset aimed at avoiding that and playing kovas game. ward went back to his corner changed it up come round 3 and 4 and turned the fight completely around. i cant remember many people doing that since floyd got hurt by mosley in round 2 (the floyd example was much better to me seeing as ward was knocked down but mayweather was hurt ALOT more)
