Ward came back used Golovkin's name for publicity. Also kissing Floyds rear in every interview also gave him a few fans and some extra publicity. And last is telling everyone watch me chase greatness by fighting Paul Smith, Frankenstein Barrera and 2 other unknowns.

CST80 only picks out when people are E.E. bashing but never calls out all that subtle and not so subtle racist bull**** that goes on with other posters. The game has to be fair CST. As a HBO shareholder, like I'm sure you all are, I'm deeply concerned about the viewers number. I barely get some sleep last night

 

Ward's 'unfair' treatment by HBO can be explained much more easily in financial terms - if you're insinuating that it's race related. Sure racism exists but HBO only care about the $s. HBO got burned pretty badly on Ward in the past - they paid Star $s and got 3 years of virtual inactivity and hadda stump up $3 mil for the La Bomba fight. They weren't about to make that mistake again, hence 'Kovalev or no contract'.

Now imagine GGG was from say Atlantic City, NJ, USA instead of Kazachstan with a terrible accent -- same guy, same fighting style, same skill otherwise. Who'd be more popular? American born Ward or American born GGG let's call him Gerald "Good Boy" Geoffrey? :deal
