Now that we know Dirrell is the goods

of course Froch is good. He is trying to make the step up to be great and that is what the Super 6 is all about.

 

i still dont think dirrell is the goods, he just had a style that makes it hard for people like froch and abraham.

 

Froch is a tough mother****er with a good punch, a good chin and elite self-belief

But he is slow as a lazy donkey and he has almost no defence.

Kessler will most likely beat the living **** out of him if Kessler hasnt completely lost it.


Dirrell on the other hand is skilled like no other. Ward relies way to much on dirty tricks and to be rough on the inside. Dirrel has a very pretty style, is fast, picture perfect footwork and some pop.

He is the most talented fighter at 168 imho.

And I do think that Froch got a gift against Dirrell. That was sick. Froch hit nothing but air and occassionally Andre's back in that fight. Crazy ****.

 

He was dirty before the Dirrell fight look at Pascal/Froch but the man has the heart to fight even when things aren't going his way and you have to strip his "0" from him to beat him. Everyone says he's a ko waiting to happen but no one has ko'd him yet.

 

I'm not 100% sold on Dirrell. I am, however, about 90% sold. I do not think people under rate Froch that much. I think it is more a matter of Dirrell learning, and growing by leaps and bounds.

 

Not one single boxing journalist who watched the fight live thought Dirrell won the fight

 

Froch is underrated here. Like someone else said he could win the super 6 and people would still say he was the 4th or 5th best fighter at 168.

 

I'm not completely sold on Dirrell. To me he's the 168 Zab Judah. Lots of speed and talent, but mentally he's not the toughest guy in the world. I always knew he had the style to beat AA though.

As for Froch... he's definitely a world class fighter. He proved as much in the Taylor fight. I thought he lost to Dirrell though. How he handles Kessler will be interesting. Too many ppl are writing off Kessler too fast.

 

Yes, Froch is definately underrated on here, mainly because he does not have silky smooth skills. Posters who are not especially knowledgable about the sport overlook his assets(hard puncher/good chin combo which is rare at the top level,toughness,desire and elite self belief) and focus on his undeniable weaknesses and wonder why a guy who doesn't fight like Sugar Ray Leonard keeps on winning

That is amazing. Simply put.

But I guess they where carried away by the intense atmosphere at the arena.

I mean - when you score a fight you must look at punches landed and not so much on aggression alone. Froch won that fight solely because it was in Nottingham.

 

How the hell is Froch UNDERRATED on here? Like half the forum is picking him to beat Kessler, and the majority were picking him in Pavlik vs Froch thread I made! Plus he has the most delusional groupies of any fighter on this forum not named David Haye, and Paul Williams. If anything he's OVERRATED on here.

 

Look - I do think that Froch is top 5 at 168. But he is no where near the best. It became clear to me in the Dirrell fight how limited he really is.

But one fight impress me though - and thats the Pascal fight, where he looked good and used his physical skills to perfection.
