Now that Witter lost.....

The problem with a lot of your reasoning SleazeNation is that you ignore the politics of the sport. You say Witter is boring and nobody wants to fight him and nobody wants to watch him, then you hold him to account for not facing fighters you deem elite. You can't have it both ways.

 

He acted for years like Hatton was commiting a crime by facing Tszyu and Mayweather and Castillo - instead of him. But he beat no good fighters to back anything up, he accepted a loss to Judah and that was his defining moment. Witter talked, that's all he ever did and I'm glad Hatton left him to rot.

This is silly, just accept that Witter was always over-rated as I had said for years and he got shown up again, he didn';t have great power, his natural skills with footwork and hadnspeed were not Hamed he just wasn't anything special.

 

Certainly he was never good enough to make a Hatton fight essential in any sane-thinkers mind.

Hatton making less money? I thought Hatton didnt need the money and was rewarding the fans at some more normal hour rather than fighting at Showtimes request? I thought he was a regular lad who revelled in the fact that he still lives in a modest house. If so why on earth do you think "money" is an excuse when making a fight?

Witter was unbeaten for 8 years for one reason, all he did was talk. He fought nobody. While Hatton was facing Floyd and Castillo and Tszyu - Witter did nothing.
