Yep! Very stacked divison.Probably the best of all them righ now.So many good fights can be made at cruiser weight.Just incredible! Even at this point of time Usyk is probably able to beat all heavies inlcuding the few top stars there.Briedis had a short stop at heavy weight and knocked out a heavy weight fringe contender.Gassiev can also compete with most big boys.Hell,even Lebedev,the old vet,is still able to give hell to most heavies.
There is so much talent at cruiser weight.

 

Jeez I'm so sick of Usyk getting so absurdly overrated. He's shown nothing to suggest he could take out the top super hws. A few amateur fights do not an argument make. Facing guys like Joshua, Wilder, and Ortiz, with huge size and power advantages over him, would be a recipe for disaster for him. You guys have made me route for him to get exposed.

 

No matter how Great or how much Usyk, Gassiev or anyone in the cruiserweight division achieves in the future

Holyfield will always be the best ever cruiserweight, the biased yanks and yank ass lickers will never let anyone surpass Holyfield.

 

didn't you watch WSB... he faced the top super heavyweights in the world - Majidov , Joyce, Nistor and schooled them. The hype is very real and justified.

 

Breidis is Latvian not Lithuanian.. but I fully agree he's very very good!

 

Haye was an authentically good cruiser, but you're right that the division is so much hotter now with real talent. And good fights are being made too.

Briedis vs Charr, Huck vs Povetkin, Mchunu vs Chambers etc. tend to make one think that the level is good compared to HW too.

 

Amateur means ****, or do you think Fraudley was an ATG? I'll believe it when usyk beats shws in the pro game. There's plenty of reason to suspect he won't.

... to be fair Usyk and Gassiev are miles from Holyfield at the moment, it's too soon for that discussion. Can't blame the Americans for something that hasn't happened yet.

I'm one of the hypers, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm biased on the issue.

Amateur means something if your game translates well to the pros IMHO, i.e. good power and a tough chin.

 

At the top Cruiserweight definitely looks like murderers row. I think Bellend will soon be forgotten about.

Would like to see Beterbiev move up into CW.

even some of the haters are giving in to the fact cruiserweight is clearly the best division in boxing

 

Whats the matter with this division. These guys actually fight each other in their primes and fight to win. This is boxing. This division doesn't belong. Cruiserweights should now be called UFC property.

 

For a division that was pure ass just a couple of years ago, yeah, it has started to reach a boil.
