I remember reading a tweet somewhere that was stating Gassiev was going to move up because he's having trouble making 200 pounds. I don't know how credible the source is but I do recall reading that.

 

But Gassiev did actually look massive in the ring, he must have been more than 205 lb

 

I find it hard to believe that a guy that massive would only gain 6 pounds after the weigh in. Like another poster said, he had to be around 215+.

 

I remember reading Gassiev saying he could move up in the future, I doubt he'll be doing it anytime soon

 

Not at least for a couple years. There is plenty of money and Cuban glass to be had at cruiserweight

From Match TV comentators,they said that Gassiev said that he will move up if he beats Lebedev.

He's staying at cruiser for a little while, probably sometime in 2018 will move up to hw.
Match TV commentators said he gained very little weight on fight night, we are talking a few pounds.
Now big cruisers like Kudryashov and Durodola come in at 215-220 and that's probably as big as you will see it at cruiserweight.

 

Have been following Briedas for a few years first saw him on biggers better .brilliant prospect has it all .

 

When any cruiserweight in history fights a very close fight with a prime atg heavyweight like Lennox Lewis in their second even though he was past prime like Evander was in their fights, then your MIGHT have some weight. Otherwise, your statement is insignificant. But I find it hilarious how highly the English love and rate their man, the insignificant David Haye at cruiser even though he was stopped by Carl Thompson there lol.
