Now the WBA is creating a trophy for the fight???

    :lol::lol: The World Boxing Council is creating a special "emerald belt" for the winner. And now a bronze, gold plated trophy will be the special award that the World Boxing Association will present to the winner of the mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The news was confirmed by WBA Vice-President Jesús Gilberto Mendoza.

    "There will be a special trophy on our part. We have not named it yet, because we are still designing it," announced Mendoza during his trip in Mexico

    Oh no!, the WBA are also showing their support for the biggest fight in Boxing history!?, what a bunch of loons. :patsch They should instead send a trophy to you for delivering those pizzas right on time after every order.

    What's wrong with them handing out a trophy? Although, both guys are going to get paid over $100M so I doubt they'll be too hyped about a trophy.

    This is a one-time deal. They aren't going to have boxers pay fe3s to compete for a trophy going forward, any more than "WBC emerald belts" are going to become a regular thing.
