I think it was to be on ARD but it's not now- ARD is a terrestrial satellite channel in the ilk of Channel 4. If one of the WBO, IBF or WBA objects to the fight I can see trouble staging it, if not it'll go ahead.
If the WBC petitions the EBU to eject the Luxembourg commission from their membership they are going to be in all sorts of legal hot water.
This whole thing, if true, reeks of utter hypocrisy. The annoucement of this fight has opened up a huge amount of debate and critisism, and whilst I personally don't think most of it is justified and think many long standing critics of the sport are simply using this as an excuse to speak up, it is damaging to the professional image of the sport. If the fight, as I hope, does go ahead it opens up the sport to a larger audience, and this will hopefully be positive experience. But the level of back-stabbing and blatantly obvious 'professional jealousy' that is being spouted by rival promoters, networks, organisations and newspapers is not good and my fear is that it all just reinforces the negative view of a corrupt sport that so many non/casual fans already have.:-(
Seems everyone knows better than corrupt organisations! Im glad the WBC are also in agreement with the BBBoC and backing them up, boxing is corrupt we already know that, the corrupt organisations are all there is, all VVarren will do is create another one/two to add to the corruptness. Infact VVarren is probably more corrupt than anyone. I hope WBC and BBBoC stick to their guns and kick VVarren out and every one associated with the fight. Its time VVarren was stood up to! Dont need him or his fighters in British boxing.
****ing hypocritical ****s. So Tyson can get sent down for **** and bite a mans ****ing ear off in the ring and they will sanction him to fight for their title, but Chisora can't because he slapped someone? All these ****ing do gooders crawling out to act all moral and righteous when far worse incidents have happened and they've not batted an eye lid. Oh it brings the sport into disrepute. Whereas cheating score cards, lack of proper drug testing, corrupt rankings and paid off officials doesn't.atsch:-(
The fight will be for the WBA International and WBO Inter-continental title **** the WBC, they're in no position to take the moral high ground. Thieving, corrupt twats.
In recent times yeah. And they want to keep it that way. But once upon a time they were very naughty boys indeed.
