He does appear to fight different with every opponent. This fight could have very well just been him not respecting Brook because he was a WW, and ended up getting caught. But I saw a fighter who was vulnerable. More so than I have ever seen, BHop acknowledged that too. We shall see. I still would like to see him in the ring with a real threat, and have him and his camp shut up about the no one wants to fight him, until he does. Because I see a whole lot of fighters saying "what about me", only to be turned away with the not enough money, different network blah blah blah

O more so, I'd like to see him stop calling out smaller fighter's and Abel shut up, as he seems to be the one doing most of the talking. lol

I definitely agree about the opponents, and I think it's a clue into his psyche in terms of confidence and yet also frustration

He doesn't have a lot of time so he needs to do something dramatic but do it with skill not chin

He needs to move his damn head, or have more respect for his opponent and lose some of the overconfidence

Yep, ggg fights different for each opponent. He said in the interviews before the fight he was going to make it a street fight. So for this fight he just went on the offence, f the defense.

His fights are so entertaining. None of this PBF talk gangster, potshot and run crap.

Ward would probably beat him convincingly. Golovkin's team would want a lot of money to take that fight.

You guys really need to appreciate both a fighters circumstances, and the huge difficulties in making big fights due to the politics.

Regarding the offer from Andre Ward, at the time, GG had the opportunity to obtain Lemieux's IBF belt. He also knew that the winner of Canelo-Cotto was mandated to fight him afterwards. Why would he have wanted to fight Andre at that point? He wouldn't have. Although Andre is levels above Lemieux, Lemieux and Canelo took priority. If you're going to be objective, you need to see things from every angle. GG and his team were never going to even acknowledge a contract until this year. But by that time, Andre was moving in a different direction. Also, Andre has just recently said that he doesn't think he can make 168 anymore.

Just for the record, I don't think that either fighter wanted the fight, and for what it's worth, I definitely think Andre would beat him.

Let's be real about this, there's only one side that wanted no part of that bout. Story of the negotiations:

"Hi it's Andre Ward's team, would you be interested in a fight?"

"Sure. 164, right? After all, that's a fair compromise, no advantage to anybody".

"Oh no, it has to be at our weight"

"OK we can do that. Neutral venue best, Monaco or somewhere?"

"No, Andre only fights on home turf, has to be the states"

"OK we'll accept that on the basis that Gennady gets the thick end of the purse split"

"No, we want 50/50 as well"

(sigh) (faceplant) "OK mate, whatever" (hangs up phone)

But he wanted to fight Mayweather at 160. When you've got one fighter who is willing to compromise to make a fight and another who will only fight with the dice loaded in their favour, you can't then accuse the guy who is willing to compromise of ducking.

I think its unfair to mention Ward and GGG in the same sentence. Ward will literally disable GGG - prolly be one of the biggest mismatches in PPV history
