He didn't live up to the hype his best win is Danny Jacobs let that sink in and he's 0-1-1 against Canelo.

 

Well I dont know for sure. I would definitely favor Ward for sure. 100 percent no doubt. But GGG maybe could have made it close. Ward has beaten a lot of top fighters.

The thing about GGG is we dont know how good he really was. Hes too old and who knows maybe if he was 5 years younger he knocks out Canelo and Jacob's. GGG wasted his prime. So how can we be for sure if he was really great or not?

 

I'm not whining I couldn't be more happy looks like to me GGG fans like you are doing the whining. Nothing wrong with complimenting but there is something wrong with grossly overhyping which you and others did for years in regards to GGG.

 

GGG deserves the hype, the man getting robbed doesnt change that. And he deserves compliments as well, I shouldnt be attacked for defending him.

Fighting and KOing no hopers like Wade and Monroe Jr do not prepare you to step up in class. Like I always say anyone can look great koing cans like them. I always knew GGG would struggle when he stepped up because he never fought anyone of note. I picked Canelo to beat him the very first time the fight was talked about because of his level of opposition was much superior to GGG's facing guys like Cotto, Lara, Trout and PBF helped him tremendously. Canelo had beaten and been in the ring with elite world class fighters whereas GGG hadn't and it came back to bite him in the ass. I was never sold on GGG and still say had Brook been the same size as GGG he would have beaten him as well. Good but not a great fighter and certainly not worthy of all the hype he got, Ring P4P #1 fighter my ass, that was a cruel joke.

 

And was avoided by Sturm, Martinez, Cotto, BJS etc.

I'll call it now Jacobs beats Hopkins at 160.....Hopkins struggled with tall, strong, athletic fighters at that weight.

 

Monroe is actually a good fighter....Wade was a mandatory but keep hanging onto that.

 

Where are you basing this crazy information from? Ward's resume and accomplishments are 100000 light years beyond that of GGG he's the greater fighter period end of discussion. Not only that he would have beaten the **** out of GGG and is a stylistic nightmare for him. There's a reason why GGG fans like you wanted the Canelo fight and didn't want the Ward fight and it was because you thought GGG would easily KO Canelo. If you thought the same was true for Ward you would have called for that fight as well but you didn't. You wanted Ward to move up and push GGG's work off on Kovalev another guy you hoped that would put an end to Ward too bad for you Ward had other plans.

Wade is trash and Monore Jr is C level fighter at best. They won't prepare you to take on a fighter like Canelo.

 

I dont think he should have been p4p #1 either.

But if Canelo didnt vacate his belt who knows? Would prime GGG have knocked out Canelo? I don't know for sure because he never did. I like his chances when prime to KO Canelo a lot more than this current version of GGG though.

So nobody knows for sure. But I'll tell you it's a damn shame that Canelo ducked prime GGG. I used to be a fan of GGG. But then eventually got tired of him destroying contenders and overmatched guys.

But you and I both know Canelo ducked a prime G. And that's a pretty damaging thing to his legacy.

As for GGG I dont think he gives a ****. Because he got paid. He never wanted Ward anyways because Ward is not a big draw. Canelo had all the PPV support. If anything GGG is happy he didnt KO Canelo. So that he can potentially collect 3 Canelo paydays. Hell if he beats Canelo in a 3rd fight he might get 4 Canelo paydays.
