The last thing we need in this country is another person getting sued for this kind of nonsense.

We also need people to be accountable for their actions. Personally I think it was irresponsible of Atlas to report on second hand information like this given his capacity and position. If he wants to act as a reporter he should have asked his contact to get him into a position to report on this FIRST HAND. He summarized and made conclusions about a document he has never seen. Did he even ask his contact to make arrangements for his contact to let him see them first hand?

Good grief. He didn't even claim to see them. He said someone else saw them so it was second hand summary at best with no clue as to the context of the questions. Yeah. Pac's career is over cuz you say so.

I have to disagree. If he took the mayweather fight and made more than anybody in boxing history he would have a hard time proving damages. However, a fight with Clottey will not make him that kind of money. Additionally being accused of cheating if you play a sport would hurt your reputation and damage his livelihood. That would be for a fact finder to decide. Furthermore, that is not the legal definition of hearsay. Hearsay is an evidentiary term that has a million exceptions. What I think you are wondering is how he proves the statements were false. He could enter former tests in the past as proof or he could submit himself to another test. Not that hard to prove. Lastly I think it does help to know the law in these situations. If you don’t understand how it works you often times come to the wrong conclusion. Law is one profession for some reason every thinks that have a little knowledge about and a little knowledge is dangerous.

Atlas is referring to a credible source, and therefore likely facts. No reporter sees the actual documents neccessarily... when they get news they report. Atlas is reporting something from a source, and re-reporting a story that was written by Tim Smith. Is Pac going to sue Tim Smith, too? He never said he believed Pac was on PEDs. In fact, he said the opposite. But he said from a source he heard that Pac and his team asked what the consequences would be if he had tested positive. If that's true, there's zero case. Even if he's wrong they still have no case. You can't sue someone for being misinformed or for not telling the truth. In this case, it's not slander. That wouldn't be defamation. Although I'm sure they could make noise about it if they wanted to.

Sounds rather strange the fact that Atlas has a credible source and I have never known Atlas to be a liar then I say its real odd.

By the way i am a first year law student Pac's case is very flimsy...the most damaging claim comes from Floyd Sr. and those he expresses as opinion.

Manny is a diva man. I've never seen anyone who becomes such a woman during negotiations. He did it during that Hatton negotiations & the Oscar negotiations. I can't believe he gets a pass for this bull****.

The assertion that people can say anything they want as 'their opinion' is ludicrous and not what the courts have held over the years according to what I have read in terms of people that have won such suits. Sr, being in the same business, is going to be held to a different standard than an outsider, at least that is the way I remember this process working in the past.

  13. No it's not.

Did you even watch the video?

    It's nothing of the sort.

It's an allegation of someone asking what would happen if he were to test positive.

    You're a barefaced liar.

Probably Teddy will cite the journalist source protection even if he cannot produce the said emails.
