    Just look at how kovalev was outboxing ward. Neither are in Calzaghes league.

    Speed - calzaghe

    Power - calzaghe

    Combinations - calzaghe

    Footwork - calzaghe

    Holding - ward but calzaghe would be landing when ward holds

    Head use - ward, but i think calzaghe would see that and hit the head coming at him

    Elbows - ward but I think calzaghe would have ward on the end of his shots

    Ring smarts - calzaghe

    Boxing IQ - calzaghe


    Prime calzaghe by stoppage, end of career calzaghe by stoppage or clear points win

    Ward is great at holding with one arm and hitting with the other . He definitely has the edge there and imo has the greater edge anywhere in the wheelhouse /pocket area:thumbsup:

    Kovalev will murder Calzaghe and you know it. Let's be honest, if Calzaghe was fighting today, he wouldn't have gone anywhere around that man.

    You must have woke up from a hot tub time machine. Kovalev is 0-2 against Ward, including a definitive TKO. How many times do they have to fight before you understand that Ward is his pugilistic superior. Even Kovalev has accepted that fact and is waiting to see what Ward does before deciding which weight class to campaign in.

    First fight was Kovalev, second fight was a low blow fest, Kovalev has acknowledged that Ward is difficult to beat with officials on his side, and he wont fight Ward again anytime soon unless Ward mans up and fights with neutral officials.

    this is a pickem fight for me. I see both these guys very strong with their particular skill set. very contrasting styles.
    Only thing setting them apart is who has the greatest desire , but who knows what is in a man's heart? or how much fight is in any given dog?

    The majority spoke in favor of Kovalev to beat Ward twice. F the majority. This is a pickem fight with the fighter with the most heart winning.
