Before Kovalev fought Ward, nobody thought that he wasn't as dangerous as what Kessler was 10 years ago.

You were as high on him as anyone here.

You told me last year that you thought he was the goods, and you believed that he'd have taken out a prime version of Roy early with absolute ease.

You are the king of spin.

You're so biased it's absolutely hilarious.

If you seriously believe that Joe took more risks than Ward, and that he'd have fought a guy like Kovalev, despite the fact that he was still fighting the Mkrtchyan's of the world in his 30's, then you need to see a psychiatrist.

You are one of my favourite posters. You know that. I tell you all of the time. Over the years, you have provided me with hours of entertainment. But on a serious note, which knowledgeable fans on here take you seriously on a thread such as this?

Nobody takes you seriously on a thread such as this.

You've just told us that Joe took more risks in his career than Andre Ward.

    It's laughable.

There's no way you could have typed that out with a straight face.

I don't think you've ever had an objective debate regarding Joe's career.

When it comes to Joe's career, you're a biased lunatic who changes opinion whenever it suits.

The last one was a little low, but the others weren't.

There's gifs all over the net from different angles etc.

You've got to love him haven't you.

    The King of spin.

When Froch beat Kessler, it wasn't a good win, as Kessler was faded and injured etc.

Yet when Joe beat Eubank, it was a great win based on Eubank's previous accomplishments.

This is who we're dealing with.

This time last year, Kov was a monster who'd have iced a 90's version of Roy.

Now he's suddenly a guy who isn't as good as what Kessler was.

    Hilarious.

No it's not ok. It's blasphemy and you should really apologize. I know Turds like you don't have the best sense or social graces... but at least make an effort here and now by saying you're sorry for disrespecting the GOAT super middleweight to ever box.

Ward is a fraud that needs refs, testing agencies and judges to bend the rules for him and Calzaghe was a legit great. Get it right Turd ;)

Pretty much this, Calzaghe was always going to win this poll there is no surprise really Ward has never been a fan favourite and Calzaghe had a way bigger fan base.

Really can you point to these bigger risks ? Ward has clearly fought the better opposition including fighting all the best Super Middleweights in a tournament and beating them all easily and moved up to beat the top Light Heavyweight in back to back fights. I can understand the fans who don't like Ward or how he fights but the guy has outstanding ring IQ and the guy knows how to win at both amateur and pro level.

    Correct.

If you read the thread in it's entirety, you'll see where many people have voted for Joe which is based on emotion rather than logic.

You've got guys who think that Joe would have clowned him and stopped him etc. And that's because that's what they'd have wanted to see happen.

Andre garners a lot of hate on here.

    He's kidding himself.

Joe spent 14 years at SMW, where he defended a lightly regarded WBO belt for 10 years against mainly B and C class opposition. And on top of that, he had to starve himself coming down from 190 plus pounds just to make weight.

Zero ambition for a man of his talent.

    Zero risks taken.

"I could probably give Jones a tough fight, probably the best fight he's ever had," said Calzaghe. "But I know my capabilities and unless I got paid the crown jewels I wouldn't want to risk it."

Joe's response when asked about a possible match up with a prime Roy Jones Jr.

"I could probably give Jones a tough fight, probably the best fight he's ever had," said Calzaghe. "But I know my capabilities and unless I got paid the crown jewels I wouldn't want to risk it."
Taking risk was not in the man's DNA. Man stop arguing against the obvious.

SOB is nothing with neutral judges, referee and boxing commission. Calzaghe was way too good for that cheating SOB!

    1999:

"Be honest, Roy Jones is a good fighter. But I'm not chasing him as I don't want tough fights, I just want to be well paid"

    2007:

"I have no interest anymore in Roy Jones and no interest in Antonio Tarver. Jones is washed up and Tarver was never that good anyway. He just caught Jones when Jones was shot and Johnson did the same"
