Hard to say which of the fab 4 in the eighties was the best? Duran and Pacquiao had more success at lower weights and had really great offensive styles. Leonard and Mayweather took a lot of breaks but had slick style, speed, and put together a few great wins. Hearns and Marquez have great technique. Hagler and Martinez captured belts and defended them for a long time cleaning out their division. Depends what you rate highest when reckoning greatness.

Pac is still the best of his generation. There is already a new generation in place now. What happens in december 2012 doesn't change what happened from 2001-2010. Fighters don't all age the same way just ask Roy Jones.

PBF hands down. You'll never see PBF walk into a punch like that it just shows you how incredibily flawed Pac is. PBF is the better and more complete fighter period end of discussion.:deal

You don`t become the best by fighting once a year and by carefully chosing an opponent.

JMM is 39 years old but couldn't even knock Pac down in 36 rounds when JMM was younger and more prime.

Pretty much proves that Pac is no longer what he used to be, to get knocked down and then knocked out by an older 39 year old version of the same guy.

you probably think Tarver is better than RJJ :patsch

Pac is the best of his generation hand downs. Father time did his thing like he does to all great fighters who love to go toe to toe.

RJJ is light years better than Pac don't ever mention the two in the same sentence again. The fact remains that JMM is further removed from his prime than Pac is and no ammount of spin could ever change it. I know you must have shed a tear when you saw Pac laid out like that.:yep Just goes to show you that a reckless and flawed guy like Pac wasn't as good as he was made out to be. He's lost 3 fights in a row when he started to step up and fight more technical boxers. PBF would have clowned any version of Pac and only a ****ing ******* would think otherwise.

Anyone 147 and down is tailormade for him. How long have you been watching boxing? PBF is a stylistic nightmare for anyone to face learn the sport or log off. He would be the favorite over anyone in the world 154 and down.:deal

Lol yeah dont ever mention Pacquiao in the same sentence as Roy Jones. Disrespect Floyd by mentioning a guy who got kod twice and got gift decisions and lost to a faded Morales in his prime. But not the P4P head 2 head GOAT Roy.

    Roy is Jordan

    Floyd is Kobe

Pacquiao is Steve Nash, 2 MVPs you know he didnt deserve

Manny has a better resume than Floyd, never seen Floyd knocked out for three minutes.

Floyd has fought all the big names in his divisions, he is rthe best boxer of his generation...FACT.

It's really embarrassing seeing people use Marquez’s win as some sort of victory for Mayweather over Pacquiao. What you’ve done in the past is cemented no matter how badly you go on to lose after your peak years. Pacquiao in his defence can at least claim to have fought regularly against elite competition, with one of those guys being his kryptonite that he obliged in four fights. That’s incredible and unheard of in modern boxing. Fighters nowadays will rarely step in with their bogeyman twice, never mind four times. And Pacquiao does deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Roy Jones. Why wouldn't he? I love Roy Jones but his resume and legacy is not as impressive as Pacquiao's or Mayweather's.
