We'll call Cotto 1/2 since you're discrediting him based on your own idea of his fighting prime.

Are you going to answer the question or not? What was floyd's first legitimate opponent, and how many fights in was it?

Manny won the WBC Flyweight title from Sasakul in 1998, three years after turning pro. That pretty legitimate.

Ok, then 1 1/2 is more than zero.

Not to mention Tszyu was even in the picture when Manny jumped to 140/147. This kid knows nothing.

This whole, pac has a better resume is SO laughable. Pac fought almost no one for his first 30 fights! Pacman has been carefully matched vs weight drained fighters. Mayweather NEVER took a fight like clottey during his prime. Also if mayweather fights 2 out of canelo, martinez and guerrero hes going to soldify his legacy even more.

    Question:

How many fights was it before Julio Cesar Chavez fought a legitimate opponent?

As if Pac's career is not filled with what ifs? What if Pac didn't fight guys coming off losses? what if Pac didn't fight guys asking for an advantage? what if Pac body didn't look like he is on something?

One track mind. If people want to put up an arguement, the most important thing is to make sure that the arguement can't be backfired.

    so freaking easy.

You mean like fighting a guy coming off a loss as opposed to the winner, like when he fought Judah?

    The KO loss changes NOTHING!!!!

Mayweather has always been above Pacquiao. Always.

And neither was Floyd. Tszyu was on his way out just as Floyd was establishing himself in that division.

Don't recall off-hand, but I know he fought a lot of Mexican bums before stepping up. More than Manny Pacquiao did Filipino/Thai bums, I think.

    I mean, honestly:

Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell and a Judah just coming off a loss to Baldomir is not exactly an ATG stretch on your resume.

Less than half of the bums Manny Pacquiao padded his record with, and it only lasted two years. I'm not naming someone specific just so you can discredit them, but they have good win/loss ratio.

The bulk of his opponents back then were bums.
