after cherry picking a few, fans were calling for margo vs Floyd cause they knew it was gonna take someone relentless, with a iron chin....

broner tried doing the same as Floyd, but failed the minute he listened to the fans as soon as he hit the spotlight...

how would mayweather of handled the pressure, punches from all angles, power, non stop attack etc etc ????

I know how, by never stepping in the ring with the tornado :bbb

If Broner was as smart as Floyd he would have told Maidana that Argentina was to faraway to fight .

Are we now saying that Broner is on the same level as Mayweather?

Certainly enough of one for our young hero to buy out of his contract with his promoter after being offered a career high purse.

styles make fights...Floyd would've never fought margo like that
plus, that was a few years after margo chased Floyd around, got promised a fight....and just like that WHALLA, Floyd disappeared....

"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."-- Source: ESPN

    You were saying?

And Floyd isn't my "hero." My heroes are my parents.

:rofl Once again you show how little you know, Broner is nothing but Floyd mimic, you can imitate and get your ass kicked. Margarito would not do **** to FLoyd grow up.
How can anyone compare FLoyd and Broner when FLoyd has everything better than Broner, and most important thing is Broner has **** defense getting hit by windmill punches that Floyd would see from a mile away. Kind of fighter Floyd is doesnt come that often and Broner sure as hell isnt on that level and never will be.
But you are as always to biased when it comes to Mexican, just like pre fight Chavez vs Martinez.

 I'm not so sure Freddy. Floyd actually has great footwork to get him out of harms way. Not to mention top notch stamina to employ the constant movement. He would be dancing around Tony all night walking him into shots and then getting out of the way.

Mayweather's excuse for not fighting Margarito in August of that year was a bruised hand, not any opposition to working with Top Rank, where both parties claimed the split was amicable.

And I said he was "our hero", as in belonging to us all and not just you.

Thats because no one wanted to see that fight not even the fans in attendance !

I still think he would have beat Margo but at the time the fight was more compelling than a fight with Baldimor !

So an injury is an excuse now? From a man who has a history of hand problems this is hard to believe? And the quote from Arum is in the same article that they mention his injury. Just FYI. It was not some separate event that came up later. It is the SAME article.

"where both parties claimed the split was amicable." -- You honestly believe that? Seriously? Yea, Oscar and Bob had a great relationship after they split too.....

Has Bob even worked with Cotto after their split either? (Honest question because I can't think of a fight yet)
