Now you why Gamboa didn't want to fight Rios. He knew he was gonna be there to just be a name on Rios resume because Arum wants a Rios/Marquez or Rios/Pac for next year. Good on Gamboa for not been a stepping stone, he would of needed a KO to beat Rios.
Agreed wholeheartedly. Gamboa is a ****ing genius, he ain't no *****. He just doesn't want to take a loss against Arum/Top Rank's ***gotry. THANK GOD he listened to Money May.
I've been saying this **** since Gamboa jumped out the contract. He KNEW some **** was shady. **** Top Rank, **** Bob Arum
Very very smart Gamboa! Now all those people saying he was a ***** for backing out of the fight might feel like ****.....(I know I do because I accused him too :-() My respect for Gamboa for not playing into Arum's bull**** by been a stepping stone for one of his "prize fighters".
Thing is though Gamboa would have almost certainly KTFO'd this version of Rios so it wouldn't have mattered. Rios will never agin be matched with a slickster, he's been managed very as far as opponenets styles until tonight but they figured Abril didn't have pop so it wouldn't matter, bet your house that you'll never see Rios in with a boxer again
I totally agree. With that said, I think he can beat Soto but Holt and Judah would give him serious problems. I don't see him beating any of the current beltholders either.
Bull**** and :rofl at everyone agreeing with you. Gamboa pulled out because Top Stank slipped an extension clause into his fight contract and then refused to take it out because he took an advance for the fight.
I disagree with this simply cos I dnt think Gamboa wulda fought Rios in the way that Abril did...I stil think that Gamboa was calling out Rios n didn't expect Brandon to except, when he did Yuri ran! It looks good now cos of Abril bn cheated but I dnt thnk Yuri knew wt was up
