Why are they allowing Manny to continue to use 8 ounce gloves when by their own rules, they require any fighter from 135 and north to use 10 ounce gloves? :huh

And some of you all say Nevada has the best commission, how can you be the best when you dont follow your own ****ing rules?

Im pretty sure in their rules they have that 140 147 can have both fighters agree to 8 ounces if both want. Otherwise its 10.

I think Pac puts it in all of his contracts that they have to use 8oz gloves... You give in to Manny's demands or you get no fight!!

Required, thats the key word, However, the next question is, Does Manny take the fight with Floyd using 10 ounce gloves? would he?

its funny how he gets to make demands and yet other fighters can not make request on their behalf.

You and I both know Manny's not fighting Floyd with 10oz gloves. He has to KTFO of Floyd, 10oz gloves wouldn't be giving him the advantage. I mean it wouldn't be a disadvantage, but it has to be an advantage for Pac or no fight. :deal

Thats a fairly new rule.. But don't they still give you the option to use the smaller gloves if both men agree??

Yeah his demand of 8oz gloves was bull****. They should fight with 10oz gloves.

    It's 08 before the Cotto-Marg fight...

At Thursday's meeting, the commission voted 4-0 [one commissioner was absent] to allow lightweight and welterweight fighters the option of using 8- or 10-ounce gloves. If the camps can't agree, the default glove size will be 10 ounces, commission executive director Keith Kizer said.

"We found no evidence that an 8-ounce glove would be significantly less safe than a 10-ounce glove in those weight classes," Kizer said. "We did the study. It's good that we did. Now, instead of the commission telling the boxers [in those weight divisions] what they have to wear, we're giving the fighters a little more choice."

Know the whole truth before making crazy threads...

Money is very powerful and fighters will agree to anything esp. for a fight they been working their whole career for. They know the majority will agree to anything from fight dates to ring size to weight, you name it...
