When was this rule implemented. When Hatton fought Castillo, I specifically remember that both fighters were forced to wear 10oz gloves. This for a 140 lbs fight.
At the time, it was NSAC new rule.

That report is from 2006. The current rules have changed. You spent all that time digging up outdated information so support your hero? Face it. It's a double standard. Pac's a hypocrite and he fears Mayweather. That's why he won't take the tests.

Try OSDT on for size ? Read an learn . He must be reinstated on the international drug-testing register at least nine months before competing, meaning any decision on contesting in the London Olympics would need to be taken soon. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/feb/01/ian-thorpe-return-swimming. What happen to OSDT? Mayweather does not Qualify for his own test.ROFL. Jr take your own test!

And a fighter can refuse the request of the other to use 8oz. gloves. So therefore, they must go by the commission rules and use 10oz gloves.

Just like a fighter can refuse an additional testing request, and therefore, both parties should go by the commissions required test.

I'm not sure exactly when everything was changed... I know that sometime after the Johnson ring tragedy they changed 135-147 into 10 oz gloves, but only in Nevada. Before the Cotto-Marg fight summer 08 they amended it where the fighters could use 8oz, but if they couldn't agree then by default they would use 10oz... That was the last I heard. so i checked the NSAC page and this is what I found.. i tried to find another amendment or change, but couldn't... So I'm guessing they're back to 8 always??

Pacquiao wants 8 oz gloves so his opponents actually have a chance of having a fluke win. Look what happened with Morales. It makes his fights more exciting.

You may be correct. The Hatton-Castillo fight was in 2007, and the HBO telecast that night made mention of Nevada rule changes forcing Hatton and Castillo to wear 10oz gloves.

.....now, its likely possible that through some palms being greased, the Commision adjusted their rules later to give fighters above lightweight an option to wear 8oz gloves if they wished.

.......but btw, this is bull**** of the NSAC to give fighters the option to chose 8oz gloves.
They commision should stick to either 8oz or 10oz for each individual divsion.

Why?
Because it takes the option away from the name fighter to name his glove size.
We all know that Pacquiao wont ever fight a good boxer wearing anything but 8oz gloves.

Lets say that a Welterweight fighter became Pacquiao's mandatory. Pacquiao had to fight him or be stripped of his title........

.....by NSAC rules, if the mandatory did not agree to use the 8oz gloves, automatically Pacquiao would be forced to wear the 10oz gloves.

We all know here that under such circumstances, Pacquiao would vacate the title than to be forced to wear 10oz gloves.
.......therefore rendering these commision rules bull****.
