The California Commission and The Nevada Commission are two entirely different entities. The **** ups of one has nothing to do with the other. That's like a criminal saying he was framed for a crime in New York because cops in L.A have been proven to frame suspects. The fact of the matter is, Arum doesn't know who was back there which contradicts earlier statements where he said Evangilista wasn't there.

This does need to be cleared up and there needs to be official credible sources quoting or at least referencing actual statements made by the mentioned individuals. Margo was caught cheating once but above all everyone needs at least the chance to reclaim decency or clear things up. We need to know once and for all who was present during the hand wrapping and official affirmation that everything went according to the NSAC rules and procedures.

I do believe Margo should get a second chance because after the contraversy what happened prior to the Mosley fight, would anyone honestly ever think that ANY State Athletic Commission would overlook his wraps again? He's a branded man now and they'll triple check the wrapping of his hands. Just like after the NUMEROUS incidents of foul play Andrew Golota has had in the ring, referees hawk eye him whenever he's in the ring(you could also say the same about any venue security and Riddick Bowe's corner/entourage due to their reputation for mischief)

There is still a huge cloud of mystery concerning what happened in that dressing room the night of that infamous fight.

I gave direct quotes from Kizer, the inspector from the night of the fight and Arum.

You've left chunks of the piece out. Here's some other, petinent parts of the story:

He wasn't in the room, so this is just heresy and speculation. The article later goes on:

    Lazzarotto states:

    Arum himself states:

it comes back to this: why would Margarito try and cheat against Mosley, a fighter who had looked so poor in his last fight and lost to Cotto in the fight before, but not Cotto, who had looked excellent derailing Mosley and flattening Gomez in his last two fights?

Is the testimony above convincing? Only from Lazzarotto - who is the only person quoted who was actually there, but his word choice isn't definitive either.

    Good article to read though.

Kizer wasn't there either and he's like the boss of the commission. I mean why wasn't he there? Kizer don't know what happen in Margarito's dressing room. The only thing he heard is the people that told him.

I didn't leave anything out, read post 12.

I included direct quotes from someone who was actually in the room. And he backed up what Kizer said.

This is ridiculous. An inpsector, a referee, and a Cotto's own trainer was in there. None of them detected anything. You can never prove a negative. However, there is aboslutely zero evidence that Margo did anything wrong in that fight. All the evidence points towards him being clean. Why would he load his gloves against Mosley and not Cotto? No one can know for sure expect Margo. However, Nevada seems to be a lot more strict than Cali, which would make it much harder to cheat. Mosley is a lot more durable than Cotto. It would make more sense to load your gloves against the more durable fighter. Also, Margo was allegedly having weight problems leading up to the Mosley fight. Perhaps they felt he wouldn't be at 100% and needed an edge. It's all irrelevant thought as there were at least three witnesses who saw Margo wrap his hands vs. Cotto.

It's not his job to be back there. Regardless, the inspector who was back there confirms that Nady and Evangilista were there as well.

It's impossible to prove that Margo didn't cheat. Who's to say Cotto didn't cheat? You can't prove that either. However, all signs point to Margo being clean in that fight.

Bayless was the ref not Nady although I guess a different ref could oversee the wrapping??
