No one got owned.Google the figure and you will find that it ranges from $10m-$15m http://www.mayweathervsmarquez.com/2009/05/floyd-mayweather-jr-to-earn-15m-vs-juan.html http://holding-on-still.blogspot.com/2009/05/mayweather-vs-marquez-fight-news-update.html Very few sites say $10m.Mayweather got a minimum of 25% more for his tune up while Pacquiao is getting up to 50% less than Mayweather for his toughest site. The variance in this case is 25%-50% in favour of Mayweather. When talking about millions, that's such a variance, you can debate about 5% variance but minimum of 25% is too much of a difference. If you factor that and all the PPVs then you know who should be getting more money, actually there should never a be a money debate between Mayweather and Pacquiao.
Shouldn't you be giving Floyd a hand job right about now, Leonard? Serious, you care enough about this to make up fake numbers and keep insisting you are right even though you've been exposed? Are you getting paid to make **** up? That is the only valid excuse for you doing this: money. And for some reason i doubt it. Leaning towards you being semi-******ed edit: and linking to blogs looks real official
Dude Im curious, what the hell does it matter, this is boxing let them get it on in the ring...and leave the money talk to ppl who actually know what they are talking about
You just owned yourself, genius. From your first link: So, since you already pointed out that Manny's "only" getting $7.5m, that brings us up to... $10.5m at most. At no point does it state the $15m is a guaranteed purse and, either way, two seperate sources including Associated Press, state it was $10m. Which has a lot more weight than a blog! Your second link makes no reference to the "guaranteed" purse, but states Floyd would walk away with $5m. That would seem to be on account of his IRS bill, which was reported at around £5.6m by the AP. http://www.examiner.com/x-426-Sport...ayweather-and-IRS-agree-on-56-million-payment So, including that figure and the $5m included in the second link, we get $10.6m - which is in-line with the figure you claim you have from NSAC (again, without attributation) for Manny, and with the other information I have uncovered. The variance is $0.5m. Which is still $4.5m from the $15m you've completely fabricated. Your original point was that Mayweather's guaranteed purse was $15m compared to Manny's $7.5m. This has been completely disproved, so you seem to be shifting now to including PPVs, which you initially discounted. Without PPVs, the buy fee from HBO or any merchandising, Mayweather was paid a guarantee of $10.5m, according to the AP and other sources. I haven't seen any other source reporting $15m as his guarantee. In fact, the only one I've seen that isn't just a repeat of the initial reports is this, from the Scene: I even highlighted the relevant portion to help you with your reading comprehension. It specifically states that Floyd's $15m in earnings was INCLUSIVE of his PPV earnings. Still want to continue this?
That's as hard of an ownage as I've seen on here. Chibuku should just shut up now and start a new screenname or something, because it's going to be impossible to take him seriously ever again after that "consultant" bull****.
its quite probable that the purses filed with the NSAC are reduced so that the promoter pays less fees, and that the guaranteed purse is paid out using several other tactics to reduce those fees. Goes for both Floyd and Pac.
That would be fraud. If it's not announced, it is NOT purse earnings. Golden Boy may have guaranteed Floyd an additional bonus, but that's not part of his purse earnings. Even then, it was not $15m in guaranteed earnings. He probably got more than that with the success of the PPV.
team pacquiao have said all they want is 50/50 or even 100 to the winner i think u will find that is not pricing out of the fight. if floyds so confident what about 100 to the winner
I've read some article that say Pac's guaranteed purse is 13Million. But from what I understand it has to break 750,000 PPV buys.
Guaranteed $15mil. it means if the live gate and ppv did not sell out Floyd will still get no les than $15mil not $15mil plus live gate and ppv.:deal
