Yeah, it’s madness. Seriously. I mean...it really unbelievable. And it was just breezed over and nothing was ever made of it. Nothing done about it. Just nonchalantly brushed aside.

For a brown envelope with enough bills inside he'll say anything you want him to say. Like there's no such things as corruption in boxing.

That cocksucker makes me so mad. I can't stand how bad the judges are and nothing ever gets done. It's the worst thing in boxing. We have rankings for the fighters. We need rankings for the judges. Adelaide Byrd, CJ Ross, etc don't get to keep making the rounds of major fights after the decisions they've handed down. We need stricter qualifications to become a judge. I want all new judges to be ex-fighters.

According to boxrec CJ Ross hasn't judged a single bout since FMJ vs Canelo. I think she's pretty much been banished from the sport. I guess that's what you get for going against the Floyd Mayweather machine.

When someone in a notoriously corrupt industry comes out and says "we are not corrupt" then what they are actually saying is "we are 100% corrupt and what are you gonna do about it?"

When loads of cash money is involved the people who are making the money would do/say anything to keep it that way.

    Never underestimate a man's greed.

Maybe people care about the future, putting a stop to these crimes, or lofty notions like Justice.

That's why you never admit wrongdoing. No matter how obvious.

What exactly do you think this will accomplish? Ex-fighters are immune to being subjective? Or maybe they don't like money either? No biases? No affiliations?

Let's be real the business of boxing won't change until the business of boxing changes. A new centralized structure and less promoter power would only be step 1.

We would be able to punish mediocre judges for bad decisions. It doesn't matter that we can punish fighters for doping if we can't punish the regulators for corruption. The system we have now is like having cops with no internal affairs division. The regulators need regulation. We need to rank judges so that only the best ones judge the biggest fights. And there needs to be a system of penalties for bad decisions. As it stands now there is no system to address or reverse poor possibly corrupt decisions. Boxing commissioners can just appoint their friends to all of the big fights and you see the same names and faces over and over again. That's cronyism. They appoint their relatives as officials. That's nepotism. They receive gifts from promoters. That's bribery. We need new rules that say that you cannot do those things under any circumstances.

If the regulation bodies can take the time to rank the fighters then they can do the same thing with judges. Or maybe they could issue a judging license the way that you issue a boxing license or a car license. You get a certain amount of points for various infractions. If your rating falls below a certain level you lose your judging license. Something. Anything. So long as we can keep judges accountable.

And it doesn't have to be ex-fighters. We just need a consistent standard people have to reach and show that they know how to judge a boxing match. Boxers just happen to be the group that is most likely to have some experience in this regard.

"I had 24-and-a-half years in the F.B.I. ..... so, you can trust me to stamp out corruption."

    It's right up there with
"I'm a priest, of course you can leave your children with me."
