I know the main event is on ESPN+ but my understanding is that G+ in Japan will be showing the under-card, starting in about 45 minutes. ALSO BS NTV in Japan will be showing the main event as well! Giving Japanese viewers with BS access and not CS (which carries G+) a chance to watch it AAAANNNNDDDD NTV will show the main event on a tape delay basis! For those interested the card will feature: Ryota Tsuchiya (0-0) v Takahiro Nakatsuka (0-0) (floater/reserve bout) - 4 rounds Soma Ikeda (0-0) v Takuya Matsunaga (0-0) (floater/reserve) - 4 rounds Seiya Meguro (0-0) v Pornchai Sookmueng (0-0-1) (listed as being first on the show) - 4 rounds Jun Ishimoto (5-5-1, 3) v Daisuke Sudo (4-6-3) - 6 rounds Shawn Oda (8-0, 7) v Masashi Wakita (8-7-2, 3) - 6 rounds (Oda is an exciting prospect, fun to watch, teenager) Koki Eto (22-4-1, 17) v Delfin de Asis (9-5, 6) - 10 rounds (Eto, at one point, was a human highlight reel in a series of sensational bouts Vs Kompayaka, Yodmongkol and Diale) Ryosuke Iwasa (25-2, 16) v TJ Doheny (19-0, 14)-12 rounds IBF Super Bantamweight title bout
>_> Also having ESPN+ in the title...gah one of 3 channels showing the bout live! Favouritism to the one that isn't even showing most of the card...and the one that won't have Shinsuke Yamanaka doing commentary!
Does anyone know who’s commentating on ESPN+? I have a strong feeling it’s going to be our hero, Teddy Atlas
I need to get some more sleep, I'll try to make sure I'm present and accounted for when the main event starts at 6:45am US ET.
So as mentioned above, the show will kick off with Seiya Meguro (0-0) v Pornchai Sookmueng (0-0-1) Meguro is an 18 year old stablemate of Iwasa's at the Celes gym, he proper towered over the Thai, and is a southpaw....and is looking to make an impact straight away! Thai guy is on the back foot eating big body shots and combinations, Jesus Meguro has set off at 100MPH's! Meguro has been warned for going low, more body shots! Another big flurry and the Thai is down! 70 seconds of the round left! Meguro with a ****ing HUGE left hand! Pornchai face plants...he gets up, some how but the referee stops it! WOW! That's how you say "hello professional boxing"
So second bout Jun Ishimoto (5-5-1, 3) v Daisuke Sudo (4-6-3) Sudo has "Daisuke" on his shorts, Ishimoto is from the Watanabe gym. Sudo bring pressure straight away. Ishimoto not wanting to hold his feet but he keeps doing so and leading to some interesting trading sequences. Ishimoto getting the cleaner shots through, Sudo refusing to back off though. Ishimoto starting to create his spots a bit better
Round 2-Ishimoto using his feet a little more to create space and Sudo's pursuit has lost just a tiny bit of steam, saying that however Sudo isn't taking a backwards step. Sudo is putting up a good effort but he lacks the tools to make the most of things
