well that's just it isnt it...you can't take that away from him.

i like arthur but what is it about his resume at mw that makes him the second best of the decade?? miranda?? that is it. if you don't like kelly then that's fine but use a little common sense here. arthur's biggest win at mw was a life and death war w/ miranda. kelly put him to sleep convincingly along w/ a handful of solid yet unspectacular contenders on his way to leaving jt in a heap underneath smoger.

These european guys crack me up. Sauerland protected Abraham from Fulgencio ****ing Zuniga for **** sakes! Furthermore, it's pretty hard to miss the fact that AA drew the easiest first round competition in the super six. That's not a coincidence. Arthur Abraham's entire career is a marketing gimmick. His best win TO DATE is a damaged version of Miranda. He is one of the most thoroughly protected and over rated fighters on the planet. The euros can't help themselves. We can't expect them to see the truth with Steve Bunce's dick in their mouths.

now to be fair i've got a lot of faith in Abraham and I think he's the goods. but PLEASE don't confuse his potential with what he's accomplished. he hasn't accomplished **** yet, especially at middleweight. his wins against miranda and taylor were great. that's it. and those were at 168, otherwise he beat miranda and an old as **** howard eastman and you critique TAYLOR'S resume??

There are no details about the venue, purse split etc because Pavliks camp wouldnt even want to go to the negotations table, turned down even a thought of the fight. Pavlik has only fought A-class bums and a 43 year old after Taylor, where as Abraham has signed up to fight Froch, Kessler, Ward, Dirrell and already retired Taylor. Pavlik would never even think about fighting Ward, Froch, Kessler etc.

Williams is the one hiding? Who is the one that cancelled their december date to fight Miguel Espino the same month?

And the european sports media isn't dishing up any crap about boxing in my country about Pavlik, basically nobody knows or cares about who the **** he is. When boxing is concerned, all of western europe are almost blindly listening to the American sports media. The Germans have their own biased opinions, sure, but i'm not German.

So you can't answer any of my questions with facts, and you want to use that as a basis for holding on to your foolish opinions. If, after a careful review of the facts, you wish to continue to make a fool of yourself, that's your business. Once again, here are the facts.

That's just a little bit circular, don't you think? Who's to say that it wasn't Abraham that wasn't answering the phone? No offer was made. Who's to check? The bottom line is that in every interview a member of Team Pavlik did in the year before Abraham vacated, they stated the wanted the fight but had had no response, let alone an offer. Abraham's the one whose title reign record reads like a list of bar-room brawlers. Who was ducking whom?

Do you follow boxing? Pavlik had one hand and a medically documented staph infection in the other. He had half a training camp for Espino; he wasn't ready to fight. The only reason the fight happened was that the alphabets threatened to strip him. So he plucked a guy he could fight with a 4-week camp and one good arm. But I guess he should have taken on Williams one-handed, huh?

Incidentally, if Pavlik hadn't rejected the option of fighting four easier opponents for the lion's share of a $2m purse and a guaranteed date on HBO, and single-handedly conceived the Williams fight himself, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. But KP ducked him for Espino, yeah?

It's last chance saloon to come out with something sensible, noob, before I slap you on ignore.

I heard Jack Loew in a radio interview saying he and Kelly never understood why the fight with Abraham never got done. They talked about it shortly after AA moved up. I know both fighters wanted to be justly compensated for the fight and Arum said the money just wasn't there yet. Timing wasn't right pre Bhop and money wasn't right post Bhop. So there ya go.

The only time Sauerland ever came out with any real numbers he admited to demanding a $2 million guarantee at a time when AA was averaging around $600K per fight. In a separate interview shortly after that he admited they NEVER offered Pavlik a fight in Germany.

This stuff is all well documented. I guess some folks simply consider their opinions to be more important and valuable than actual boxing news.

And by the way, Giovanni Lorenzo and Roman Karmazin both called AA out, but AA never fought either one. By the same standards that Arthur's fans use, Arthur Abraham ducked Lorenzo and Karmazin.

Someone posted that on top of that he didn't want any of his German TV money figured into it. Sweet deal. For Saurland anyhow.

Boo, don't go too far...you may have to jump onto the Abraham bandwaggon sooner or later :D

Do you remember your promise? :yep

One thing regarding "AA drew the easiest first fight":

You can say that now, afterwards, after we all have seen Taylor and all the other fights, but before the tournament started there were many people who thought that Taylor would have an easy fight against Abraham.

If it's for the decade it would have to be Taylor. With that said Pavlik is still a work in progress right now and could very easily surpass him as the more accomplished fighter with just a couple more fights. Martinez is a step into the right direction for Kelly.
